Uprooted Palestinians are at the heart of the conflict in the M.E Palestinians uprooted by force of arms. Yet faced immense difficulties have survived, kept alive their history and culture, passed keys of family homes in occupied Palestine from one generation to the next.
Hezbollah Media Relations Department issued on Thursday a statement which mourns the “major Arab journalist Hamdi Kandil”, adding that the entire Arab Umma and journalism lost him.
The statement stressed that the honest media has lost a self-made man who had always conveyed the agonies and aspirations of his people and stood by the resistance and all his Umma’s causes.
Hezbollah Media Relations Department offered deep condolences to the family of the late journalist, asking Holy God to bless him with His Mercy and Spacious Heaven.
كتب الصحافي الإسرائيلي جدعون ليفي قبل ما يقرب من العام مقالاً في صحيفة هآرتس الإسرائيلية، بدأه بالقول:
«إن طينة الفلسطينيين تختلف عن طينة بني البشر، فهم يخرجون لنا من تحت الأرض ومن تحت الرماد».
واختتمه بالقول:
«إن المرض السرطاني، الذي تعاني منه إسرائيل، قد بلغ مراحله النهائية، ولا سبيل لعلاجه لا بالأسوار ولا بالقبب الحديدية ولا حتى بالقنابل النووية….».
في هذه الأثناء تداولت وسائل الإعلام الإسرائيلية، ومن بينها صحيفة معاريف، خبراً نسبته الى مسؤول سياسي إسرائيلي رفض الإفصاح عن اسمه، يقول فيه إن سلاح الجو الإسرائيلي قد نفّذ غارة جوية ضد شحنة صواريخ إيرانية، عالية الدقة، مرسلة الى حزب الله اللبناني، بعد إسقاط طائرة اليوشن 20 العسكرية الروسية في أجواء اللاذقية السورية منتصف شهر أيلول الماضي.
طبعاً بإمكانكم، أيها المسؤولون الإسرائيليون المجهولو الهوية أن تكذبوا وتضللوا كيانكم. لكنّ أكاذيبكم هذه مكشوفة وسخيفة وواضحة الأهداف عندما يقرأها المواطن العربي الذي يتابع هذيانكم.
وذلك للأسباب التالية:
أولاً: إن هذا الخبر كذب معزّز ولَم بحصل على الإطلاق، وأن الهدف من وراء نشره لا يعدو كونه محاولة بائسة، من مكتب نتن ياهو ووزير حربه، لتبرير عجزهم عن مواجهة الصواريخ الفلسطينية المنطلقة من غزة، وذلك بحجة أن الجيش الإسرائيلي منشغل في وضع الجبهة الشمالية.
ثانياً: إن هذا يتنافى مع معطيات الميدان التي تؤكد عدم قدرة سلاح الجو الإسرائيلي حتى على الاقتراب من الأجواء السورية ناهيك عن دخولها وتنفيذ غارات داخل سورية وذلك نتيجة تفعيل وسائل دفاع جوي وحرب إلكترونية سورية، منذ إسقاط الطائرة الروسية، وربط شبكات الدفاع الجوي السورية مع تلك الروسية، سواء في قاعدة حميميم أو في قيادة الدفاع الجوي الروسي في موسكو.
ثالثاً: إن هذه الأخبار التي يتم نشرها، تحاول تهدئة روع الإسرائيليين، من خلال إقناعهم بأن الجيش الإسرائيلي قادر على منع حصول حزب الله على أسلحة إضافية شديدة الدقة. أي نشر الأوهام الواهية، التي تعبر عن عجزكم في فهم حقيقة أنه لم يعد هناك شيء اسمه سلاح حزب الله وسلاح الجيش السوري وسلاح المقاومة السورية إلى جانب السلاح العراقي والإيراني.
عليكم أن تفهموا أن هناك جبهة واحدة، في مواجهتكم، تمتد من غزة عبر جنوب لبنان مروراً بالجولان السوري وصولاً الى كل العراق واليمن وإيران، وأن هناك غرفة عمليات مشركة واحده تدير قوات حلف المقاومة على امتداد مسرح العمليات هذا. وبالتالي فإن هناك سلاحاً واحداً موحداً تحت تصرّف هذه القوات، التي من بينها قوات حزب الله.
مما يعني أن كل السلاح الموجود في مخازن الجيش الإيراني والعراقي والسوري هو سلاح تحت تصرف قوات حركات المقاومة العربية المنتشرة على جميع الجبهات المشار إليها أعلاه.
كفوا عن الكذب والتضليل الذي لن يفيدكم في شيء. اللهم إلا أن كذبكم هذا على أنفسكم سيزيد من هول صدمتكم عندما « تقع الفأس في الرأس» كما يقول المثل. أي عندما يحين وقت البدء بتنفيذ المرحلة الأخيرة من هجوم قوات حلف المقاومة والذي سيكون هدفه النهائي هو تحرير القدس وكل فلسطين.
لن تفيدكم حقن التخدير هذه، التي تحاولون تخدير جمهوركم بها، من خلال التركيز على سلاح الجو الإسرائيلي وقدراته «وتفوقه»…!
لم يعد لديكم قدرات جوية تخيف أحداً، على الرغم من استمرار عدوانيتكم وتعطشكم للدماء ورغبتكم في القتل. فخبراء شركة بوينغ الأميركية الذين تفاوضهم وزارة حربكم لشراء طائرات أف 35 من نوع ب التي تقلع عمودياً وتهبط عمودياً لهم رأي آخر في سلاح الجو الإسرائيلي وقدراته التي ستذروها الرياح في أي حرب مقبلة، فاذهبوا واسمعوا منهم تقييمهم الفني الهندسي الحقيقي. فلعل عقلكم المحدود يستوعب الكارثة التي تنتظركم عما قريب حيث لن تنفعكم وقتها لا عنترياتكم ولا عنصريتكم ولا إجرامكم ولا أعراب الخليج الذين تعتقدون أنهم سيشكلون عمقاً استراتيجياً لكم.
الحرب تبدأ في فلسطين والسلم ينشأ في فلسطين…
أما سلاطين الخليج فلا شك في أنهم مثلكم راحلون وبائدون…!
ولمن لم يعتبر بعد نذكره ما كتبه الصحافي والمحلل الإسرائيلي آري شافيط، يوم نشر مقالاً في صحيفة هآرتس الإسرائيلية، في آب من العام 2017، تحت عنوان:
«إسرائيل تلفظ أنفاسها الأخيرة»
المقال الذي لا زال يقضّ مضاجع نتن ياهو ورهطه من الوزراء رغم زيارتهم الاستعراضية لسلطنة عمان، حيث كتب شافيط:
«انتهى الأمر، يجب توديع الأصدقاء والانتقال الى سان فرانسيسكو أو برلين. ومن هناك يجب النظر بهدوء ومشاهدة دولة إسرائيل وهي تلفظ أنفاسها الأخيرة». مستطرداً: «أن الإسرائيليين منذ أن جاءوا الى فلسطين يدركون أنهم حصيلة كذبة اخترعتها الحركة الصهيونية… ومن خلال استغلال المحرقة وتضخيمها استطاعت الحركة الصهيونية أن تقنع العالم بأن فلسطين هي أرض الميعاد… وهكذا تحوّل الذئب حملاً يرضع من دافعي الضرائب الأميركيين والأوروبيين حتى بات وحشاً نووياً»…!
– كان واضحاً المسعى الأميركي الإسرائيلي من ترتيب الزيارات الخليجية الصاخبة لكبار المسؤولين الإسرائيليين، يختالون بنشوة المنتصر بين المساجد والقصور، أن لا أفق سياسي فلسطيني يسمح بتحقيق حلم جاريد كوشنر بنجاح ولي العهد السعودي بتأمين الشريك الفلسطيني الوازن للتوقيع على التنازل عن القدس وحق العودة. وأن هذه الزيارات الاستعراضية المهينة للحكومات الخليجية التي شاركت في ترتيبها، لن تغير في حقيقة أن مصير القضية الفلسطينية والتوازنات التي تؤسس عليها لا يزال بيد الفلسطينيين، وأن المال الخليجي والنفوذ العربي يشتغلان عندما يواكبان مزاجاً فلسطينياً يمثل على الأقل نصف الفلسطينيين، فتمّ استعمال الشراكة الخليجية التطبيعية تعويضاً عن انسداد الأفق أمام الخطوات المرتجاة التي صارت أبعد فأبعد، بقوة الثبات الشعبي الفلسطيني الذي أغلق الأبواب على القادة واحتجزهم في مربع لا يمكنهم تخطّي حدوده. والتعويض التطبيعي جوهري بالنسبة لكيان الاحتلال في لحظة قلق وجودي على مستوى الرأي العام في كيان الاحتلال، وفي قلب حرب نفسية عنوانها كي الوعي وصناعة الوعي تدور رحاها بين قادة الكيان وقوى المقاومة، عنوانها الصراع بين معادلتين، واحدة تقول للمستوطنين كيانكم إلى زوال فلا تطمئنوا، وتقول للشعب الفلسطيني وشعوب المنطقة، ولّى زمن الهزائم وجاء زمن الانتصارات، وأخرى تقول للمستوطنين ها نحن قد أصبحنا كياناً طبيعياً من كيانات المنطقة فلا تقلقوا، وتقول لشعوب المنطقة وللفلسطينيين لا جدوى من المكابرة فالاعتراف بإسرائيل كأمر واقع يحقق النجاح بين الحكام العرب.
– القياس لاختبار المسار التطبيعي وتأثيره في جبهتي المواجهة العربية والإسرائيلية يكون في الميدان الشعبي وكيف يتصرّف، وهو تحت تأثير تلقي المشاهد التطبيعية، وقد جاءنا طازجاً من الجولان، حيث كانت مناسبة الانتخابات المحلية التي ينظمها كيان الاحتلال، وتشمل القرى والبلدات العربية السورية المحتلة، ومثلها قرى وبلدات عربية فلسطينية محتلة في الجليل، وفيما شهدت قرى وبلدات في الجليل مواجهات مع شرطة الاحتلال رفضاً للانتخابات، شهد الجولان انتفاضة شاملة منعت إجراء الانتخابات، تعبيراً عن التمسّك بالهوية السورية العربية، ورفضاً للتطبيع مع كيان الاحتلال، وخرجت وسائل الإعلام الإسرائيلية تقول إن أنصار الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد ربحوا الجولة على إسرائيل داخل الجولان، رغم أن بعض الذين صرّحوا بتمجيد انتفاضة الجولان أرادوا تغييب الهوية السياسية للعرب السوريين المنتفضين في الجولان كمتمسكين بدولتهم ورئيسهم وجيشهم، ومعنى هذه الانتفاضة في الجولان في توقيت الزيارات التطبيعية، أن قوى المقاومة تربح جولة الحرب النفسية، وأن زيارات التطبيع تذهب هباء منثوراً، وأنه عندما وقف الجولان في كفّة والخليج في كفّة، ربح الجولان بالضربة القاضية.
– يعرف قادة كيان الاحتلال أن لا نفع يُرتجى من الاستقبالات الخليجية ما لم يتم صرفه سياسياً ومعنوياً داخل الأراضي المحتلة، سواء بين العرب أو بين المستوطنين. وهم اليوم يقولون إن عيون المستوطنين مسمّرة على قراءة حدث الجولان ويقولون ما نفع أن نزور عاصمة خليجية ولا نستطيع العودة لننام بأمان في الجغرافيا التي يقوم عليها الكيان، بينما يقول العرب في المناطق المحتلة إن الهوية العربية لا يمثّلها المطبّعون، وإنهم ينتمون فقط لمن يحمل راية المقاومة بين العرب ويفتخرون بهويتهم التي تجسّد هذه الروح، ولا يفتّ في عضدهم وثباتهم لا أمير ولا ملك ولا سلطان، فلهم عروبتهم ولنا عروبتنا.
Syria condemned the “illegal elections” being held by “Israel” for the first time in the occupied Golan Heights, as an attempt to assimilate the Druze minority, who for their part have largely refused to take part in the polls.
Members of the Druze community residing under “Israeli” occupation for over half a century took to the streets on Tuesday in an effort to interfere in the municipal elections that Tel Aviv had introduced for the first time in the Golan Heights.
Carrying Syrian and Druze rainbow flags, hundreds of members of the Muslim minority sect assembled outside the gates of polling stations, trying to prevent other Druze community members from voting.
“The Golan’s identity is Arab and Syrian,” they chanted. Amid sporadic clashes with police, religious elders wearing their distinctive white caps, symbolizing religious piety, urged the youth not to confront the security forces, who in some instances used tear gas against protesters.
The “Israeli” decision to introduce elections to the local councils in the territory, which it has held since 1967, divided the Druze community ahead of Tuesday’s vote.
“Candidates and those who come to vote will have a religious and social prohibition put upon them,”said Sheikh Khamis Khanjar. “What bigger punishment is there than this?”
Damascus slammed the “illegal elections,” noting that Syria “fully supports” the Druze resistance to “Israeli” occupation. The Syrian Foreign Ministry accused Tel Aviv of trying to legitimize their grab of the Golan, calling Tuesday’s vote a “Judaization” attempt on the Druze by “Israel.”
“Syria reiterates that the occupied Golan Heights is an integral part of its soil, and it will work to return the terrain to the motherland sooner or later by all possible means,” the Ministry said in two letters, addressed to the UN chief and the UN Security Council president.
أنباء عن تسارع مرتقب لزيارات المسؤولين «الإسرائيليين» في الأيام القليلة المقبلة لدول خليجية عدّة في مقدّمها البحرين التي يُقال إنّ اليهود يحضّرون لمفاجأة ثانية تقضي بزيارة لنتن ياهو تترافق مع افتتاح سفارة للكيان في المنامة…!
وإن اقتراحات عملية قدّمت لنتن ياهو من القادة الخليجيين لإنجاح صفقة القرن تشمل:
استئناف المفاوضات مع محمود عباس فوراً.
2- استثناء القدس حالياً من المفاوضات.
3- تأجيل مناقشة موضوعَيْ حق العودة واللاجئين في المفاوضات.
4- قيام الدول الخليجية بتمويل بناء مستوطنات جديدة تحت عنوان التنمية العمرانية والسكانية للإقليم.
وهو الأمر الذي سيناقشه وزير البنى التحتية «الإسرائيلي» في زيارات مرتقبة له لعواصم خليجية عدة.
في هذه الأثناء أفادت مصادر دبلوماسية واستخبارية خاصة، حول زيارة نتن ياهو لسلطنة عُمان، بما يلي:
إنّ الشخص الذي قام بترتيب هذه الزياره هو رونالد لوبير، وهو يهودي أميركي مقرّب من نتن ياهو، ويقوم بتنسيق تحركاته، بشكل من الأشكال، مع جاريد كوشنر.
إنّ هذا الشخص قد بدأ ببذل الجهود لعقد هذا اللقاء منذ أكثر من شهر، بمعزل عن آل سعود ودون التشاور معهم، لأنه يعتقد أو كان يعتقد حتى قبل أزمة الخاشقجي بأنّ دورهم انتهى في المنطقة ولن يطول الوقت حتى تتفتت السعودية ودول خليجية أخرى، وذلك بسبب الخلافات الداخلية أكثر من أيّ سبب آخر.
يعتقد صاحب فكرة عقد الاجتماع، أو دعنا نسمِّها لقاءات الجاهة كما تُعرف في بلاد الشام، مع سلطان عُمان بأنّ سلاسة اُسلوب العُمانيين قد تكون أكثر نجاحاً في إقناع الفلسطينيين في الانخراط في صفقة القرن، خلافاً لما أسفرت عنه جهود محمد بن سلمان الفظة في التعامل مع الفلسطينيين، سواء في الاجتماعات المغلقة أو في وسائل الإعلام، ما أدّى الى زيادة تصلبهم تجاه خطة ترامب.
تؤكد مصادرنا أنّ سلطان عُمان ووزير خارجيته قد اقترحا على رئيس السلطة الفلسطينية، خلال اجتماعهما به يوم 22/10/2018 في مسقط، العودة الى المفاوضات المباشرة مع «الإسرائيليين» وأنّهم سيعملون على إقناع نتنياهو بقبول بعض التعديلات على مشروع الرئيس الأميركي المسمّى صفقة القرن.
كما تؤكد مصادرنا بأنّ أبو مازن قد وعد السلطان قابوس بدراسة هذا المقترح بعد دورة المجلس المركزي لمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، الذي يُعقد في رام الله منذ يوم أمس الأحد 28/10/2018، ما يعني أنه أبقى الباب موارباً في هذا الشأن، وذلك بهدف تمرير قراراته بشأن غزة في الاجتماع المُشار إليه أعلاه، من دون التعرّض لضغوط «إسرائيلية»، حيث إن «إسرائيل» تعارض هذه القرارات، حسب ما أبلغه رئيس الشاباك «الإسرائيلي»، نداف أرغمان، لأبي مازن، خلال اجتماعه معه في منزل أبو مازن في رام الله قبل أيّام من زيارته لعُمان، وذلك خشية أن تؤدّي الضغوط المتزايدة على مواطني قطاع غزة وفصائل المقاومة الفلسطينية هناك الى تفجير الوضع في وجه «إسرائيل»، التي ستضطر للدخول في حرب ضدّ القطاع وهي لا تريدها في الوقت الراهن.
ترى مصادرنا أنّ المسار العُماني لا يتعارض مع تحركات مستشار الرئيس الأميركي، جاريد كوشنر، وما يسمّى بالمبعوث الأميركي للسلام في الشرق الأوسط، جايسون غرينبلات، بل هي مكملة لها وإن بعيار أخف وبتخدير موضعي وغرفة عناية فائقة سلطنة عُمان قد تنجح في إنقاذ المريض الذي يصارع الموت، صفقة ترامب المسماة: صفقة القرن.
“Israeli” War Minister Avigdor Lieberman criticized his fellow Security Cabinet ministers on Monday for backing efforts to reach an arrangement with Hamas instead of delivering a strong blow to the Resistance Movement.
“Anyone who counts on an arrangement with Hamas is greatly mistaken,” Lieberman said at a meeting of his “Yisrael Beytenu” faction. “My stance on the situation in the south is clear and well known, but unfortunately some members of Cabinet are deluded, and we already know from the past where such delusions lead.”
Lieberman further insisted that “There’s no way to reach an arrangement with Hamas, and without delivering the hardest blow we can, we won’t restore the quiet or the calm to the south.”
“The majority of the Cabinet doesn’t think as I do,” he lamented. “I think that we should’ve already delivered such a blow several months ago.”
“There is no need for a ground operation in Gaza, since we have enough means to restore calm without it. Even if we kill 40,000 Hamas and Islamic Jihad ‘terrorists’ it is not worth losing one “Israeli” soldier,” the War minister stated.
S-300 air defense systems suppiled by Russia to the Syrian Armed Forces is not a real threat for the Israeli Air Force. The Israeli military and political leadership is not concerned. Israeli forces have no plans to target Russian-made S-300 air defense systems in Syria if the Syrian army uses them in a way that poses no threat to Israel, former Israeli deputy chief of staff and ex-head of the National Security Council Gen. Uzi Dayan told Sputnik in an interview.
“I hope very much that Syria will not misuse these missiles [S-300], because if Syria tries to intercept Israeli aircraft or fighter [jets], we will have to respond. It has already happened and it is not going to be different even if S-300 are involved. We are not going to initiate any attacks on these weapons but at the same time, these weapons do not have any immunity. We hope very much that the coordination between Israel and Russia will continue… We hope that Syrians will not make silly mistakes like it was done with the Ilyushin affair,” Dayan said.
He considers Russia’s decision to deliver S-300 systems to Syria after the incident with the Il-20 to have been inappropriate.
On October 2, Moscow completed its deliveries of S-300 systems to Damascus in a bid to increase the safety of the Russian troops deployed in the Middle Eastern country. The air defense upgrade was announced after a Russian Ilyushin Il-20 military plane was downed on September 17 by a missile launched by a Syrian S-200 air defense system targeting Israeli F-16 jets that were carrying out airstrikes in Latakia. The Russian Defense Ministry has blamed the crash on the Israeli Air Force, claiming that the Israeli jets used the Russian aircraft as a shield against Syrian air defense systems.
The Il-20 crash claimed the lives of 15 Russian troops. Israel has refuted the accusations and insisted that Moscow was warned about the air operation in a timely manner.
Israel-Iran Armed Confrontation
Speaking about the possibility of a military confrontation with Iran, Uzi Dayan told Sputnik that Israel would consider deterring Tehran only as a last option.
“If Iran continues to build an outpost in Syria, Israel will not be able to accept it. I do not think it will lead to a bigger clash… If Iran continues to try to achieve a nuclear capability, we think that Iran should be stopped. It is better to do it with sanctions, diplomatic efforts… boycotting the oil of Iran… We should continue to put pressure on Iran… Can Israel stop Iran? The answer is ‘Yes’ but we want to use it [military means] only as the last choice… Iran can be deterred but you do not deter a country like Iran with an ’empty gun,’” Dayan said.
According to Dayan, Israel does not support the Iran nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), because the agreement only “freezes the situation” and “does not take Iran backward” from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Dayan also called Trump’s policy on Iran “right.”
Trump’s Withdrawal From Iran Nuclear Deal
The remark referred to Washington’s decision, announced in May, to withdraw from the JCPOA, which stipulated the gradual lifting of sanctions on Iran in exchange for Tehran maintaining the peaceful nature of its nuclear program. Commenting on the decision, US President Donald Trump stated that he expected to negotiate a better and fairer deal with Iran.After withdrawing from the JCPOA, Washington has started to reimpose its sanctions against Iran. The first round of the US restrictions came into force in August, while the next package, set to target Iran’s oil sector, among others, is scheduled for November 5. More sanctions are expected to follow.
If you have been reading mine or Vanessa Beeley’s articles regarding the nature of the White Helmets, you already know the piles of evidence documenting the fact that the alleged “humanitarian” organization is nothing more than a propaganda wing of al-Nusra Front used to beat Western audiences over the head and pull at their already-manipulated heart strings into supporting American military intervention in Syria.
Vanessa Beeley of 21st Century Wire and The Wall Will Fall has been the spearhead of information regarding the White Helmets since day one and, with her recent article, has once again driven another nail in the fake first responders’ coffin.
During her recent visit to Syria, Beeley was amazingly able to snag an interview with an actual active member of the White Helmets still functioning in Daraa al-Balad. Despite her reputation as a critic of the group, her qualifications as a “British journalist” seemed to reassure the group members that she was a “friendly.” Indeed, such is the nature of Western mainstream journalism that terrorist groups find these outlets to be comrades in arms.
Daraa al-Balad, while technically under the control of the Syrian government, is in the midst of a fragile “cease-fire” type agreement established in July, 2018 and negotiated by the Russian Reconciliation team whereas the Syrian military controls the territory but a variety of “rebel” groups still operate there as well. Conditions of the cease-fire were that the terrorist groups surrender their heavy and medium weapons and that the Syrian army has the right of admission to liberated areas. In addition, extremist groups were to withdraw from areas close to the Jordanian border. Many of these extremist groups accepted the terms of reconciliation but many, such as those in Dara’a al-Balad, chose to continue their “policy of confrontation.”
A separate deal was offered by Russia to Hayat Tahrir al Sham, a rebranded Nusra Front faction, which occupied areas of Dara’a. According to reports, Abu Jaber, the former Emir of HTS, turned down the proposal. Interestingly enough, Jaber was one of the founding commanders of Ahrar al Sham, which itself was responsible for brutal ethnic cleansing campaigns. Despite a horrific attack in al Zara, Homs, where Ahrar al Sham slaughtered a number of Alawite women before standing on their corpses and taking photos, the United States refused to label them a terrorist group.
The question of American “terrorist” labeling is one for another article but, suffice it to say, it was “armed groups” such as these maintaining their positions of “confrontation” under which the “last remaining” White Helmets group in Dara’a al Balad continues to operate and the environment Beeley entered in order to interview not one but two White Helmets operatives.
Shabab al Sunnah, one of the groups that accepted the Russian/Syrian conditions accompanied Beeley during her entrance to Dara’a al Balad and repeatedly confirmed that the area had been under the control of al Nusra Front.
White Helmet #1 – Abu Mohanad Al Mahamid
The leader of the White Helmet center in Dara’a al Balad was Abu Mohanad al Mahamid. According to Beeley, once he figured out that she was a British journalist, he seemed to want to present an image that would impress her, even to the point of putting on his white helmet and launching into a big defense speech of the White Helmets’ reputation. He admitted to Beeley that the group was funded by the British government but claimed they were not influenced by British policy. He also admitted “that they were pressured to follow British policies.” In addition, he made a distinction between serving “friends and enemies” which demonstrates his lack of unbiased neutrality as was his claim.
“When I say that we are independent it means that we do not follow anyone, when some come to me and say that you should follow British policies I say to them, no. We serve all people, our friends and our enemies,” he said.
During his initial display of neutrality, Al Mahamid was clearly on a drive to persuade me of the White Helmet good reputation. When questioned about the White Helmet involvement in executions carried out by HTS and associated groups in Dara’a, Al Mahamid was quick to echo the White Helmet party line which presents these White Helmets who do collaborate in crimes committed against Syrian civilians and SAA prisoners, as being “bad apples“, who are “sacked” for “misconduct” – rather than criminal thugs who collaborate in torture, execution and the punishment of those who do not comply with their sectarian ideology or who have remained loyal to Syria’s government and army.
“..we have fired members only because they attended some sort of executions because we save lives and we do not help anyone to kill any one because it is against humanity and notice that all White Helmet members are full of humanity and sensitive to the extent if you shout at them they cry. So our work is plain humanitarian work, and when we used to bring soldiers here, we used to respect them and treat them as one of us, because all Syrians are losing.” ~ Al Mahamid (emphasis added)
Al Mahamid was asked about the White Helmet connections to Nusra Front (HTS) bearing in mind the praise heaped upon the White Helmets by Abu Jaber and Muhaysini. Again, Al Mahamid was adamant that their White Helmet center had no such affiliation, despite being next door to the Nusra Front buildings. In his eagerness to present the case for their center he was quick to say that it was very possible that other White Helmet groups in Syria were affiliated to Nusra Front and made up of Nusra Front militants. The question was – “do you think that some White Helmet members or centers acted in a different way from other White Helmet centers, East Aleppo or other cities?”
“Of course, here we do not belong to any one, but someone in the Western area, for example, might be Nusra front. “
Al Mahamid was asked again – “so White Helmet members may also be Nusra Front?”
“Of course! They might be Nusra Front and run a White Helmet center so this means all his colleagues are also Nusra Front, but not in my area.” ~ Al Mahamid (emphasis added)
An interesting point is made here by Al Mahamid. If a White Helmet center is run by a Nusra Front member then all his colleagues will also be Nusra Front. This vindicates claims made by myself and other independent analysts that any area occupied by Nusra Front will be dominated and controlled by Nusra Front. Nusra Front is a brutal, ideologically supremacist organisation, so it would make perfect sense that if a White Helmet group is led by a prominent member of Nusra Front, the members are likely to adhere to the same ideology and to follow the same practices of extreme sectarian hatred and violence.
Case in question is the leadership of the White Helmets in East Aleppo. Abdulaziz Maghrabi was not only an armed member of Nusra Front but had also been an armed member of the Turkish-backed Al-Tawhid brigade which invaded East Aleppo in 2012. Maghrabi also demonstrated allegiance to Abu Amara, the Nusra Front protection corps in East Aleppo. Maghrabi was photographed, on a number of occasions, working with both Nusra Front fighters and Abu Amara groups.
“There are some (armed) factions connected with Israel, those factions were gathered by Israel in Quneitra and were told that you will leave with the White Helmets. By the way, the number of White Helmets in the southern area are 635, but those who left were 800. This means that there are (armed) factions who work with Mossad and they were extracted alongside the White Helmets. But for us here, we stood against this and demanded that the record of the White Helmet members to be reviewed because not all who left were White Helmets. Because not all those who left were White Helmets, there were people who left from Quneitra. There were terrorists, some left from the Yarmouk Basin”
“You mean ISIS,” we asked
“Exactly!”
“So ISIS left with other armed factions alongside the White Helmets?”
“What happened is that Israel told the factions it supports to leave with the White Helmets. But here in this center were 38 members but no one left.”
“So, those who left – where were they from?”
“They were from Quneitra and the FSA and armed factions who are supported by Israel. This what we witnessed, I do not deny the fact that around 50 % of those who left to Israel were White Helmets but the rest were factions supported by Israel.
During my time in the south, I had also visited Quneitra and followed in the tracks of the armed groups and White Helmets as they were evacuated from Syria into the Israeli-occupied Syrian territory of the Golan heights and, from there, were transported to Jordan. Of the estimated 800 who escaped Syria by this Israel-facilitated route, allegedly only 442 made it to Jordan for resettlement in the designated countries which included Canada, UK, France and Germany.
I visited one White Helmet center in Jabata Al Khashab, Quneitra which was again contained within a complex controlled by Nusra Front but also incorporating the centers of the FSA and Al-Furqan brigade. I was shown to a small room which was reportedly used as a prison and torture cell by the armed groups. The room was actually part of the White Helmet building, which I was told, was known as Station 103.

A US Poseidon-8 reconnaissance plane operated 13 unmanned aerial vehicles that attacked Russia’s Hmeymim airbase in Syria on January 6, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin said at a plenary session of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum on security on October 25.
“Thirteen UAVs moved according to common combat battle deployment, operated by a single crew. During all this time the American Poseidon-8 reconnaissance plane patrolled the Mediterranean Sea area for eight hours,” Colonel General Alexander stated adding that when the UAVs faced Russian “electronic warfare screen, they moved away to some distance, received the corresponding orders and began to be operated out of space and receiving help in finding the so-called holes through which they started penetrating.”
Despite this, seven UAVs were downed, and control over six drones was gained through electronic warfare systems.
Colonel General Fomin also emphasized that it’s needed “to put an end to the provision of money, weapons, equipment and various substances to terrorists, including chemical ingredients used during the so-called chemical attacks that are later blamed on the Syrian government.” He noted that most of these tools and means were produced in foreign countries, particularly NATO member states.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman vowed that Israel “will not accept any restrictions” on Israeli freedom of operation in Syria. Liberman commented on the recent reports by Israeli media that Russia wants to reshape the format of the Moscow-Tel-Aviv contacts and demands Israel to provide earlier warning of strikes.
After the incident with the Russian IL-20 military plane in Syria, Moscow already noted that Israel ignores the existing hot-line agreement and provides a false and untimely info on its actions in the war-torn country. The Russian Defense Ministry openly pointed out that the IL-20 plane was downed by Syrian air defense fire because of “hostile actions” of Israel. In response, Russia supplied S-300 systems to the Syrian military.
This week Israel’s ImageSat International has released a group of satellite images alleging that the deployment site of the Syrian S-300 system is located near the village of Masyaf in the province of Hama.
The situation remains tense in the Idlib demilitarization zone where militant groups continue shelling targets in the government–held area. The situation is especially complicated in the countryside of Aleppo where the Syrian Army is even forced to carry out active retaliatory strikes.
