Syrian-Children
demonstrating against the Regime.

How often have seen footage of Syrian demonstrators
walking the streets in protest against the Regime ?

I think we were shown more than enough of it.

But what most of us did not pay attention to the fact
that many parents took their children out into those demonstrations.
Which is rather normal as it happens , in many places and countries......

But according to the BBC + CNN + AlJazeera + etc...etc...
there were constantly sniper-fire and the Government-troupes
who were regularly shelling those demonstrations..........unquote

My question now is ,
if and when the BBC+CNN+ AlJazeera
were correct, honest and un-bias,
how come those Syrian Parents
keep on sending their own children out on the streets ???

Or , is it maybe possible that there are no snipers ???

Or , the BBC+CNN+AlJazeera have had the wrong lenses
fitted to their cameras ??

Or, those snipers come only when the BBC+CNN+AlJazeera
are there ??

Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah continues to serve Lebanon

Rushing to an appointment last Saturday and passing the Mohammad Hussein Fadallah Hassaniyeh (Mosque), which for many in my immediate Dahiyeh neighborhood is the religious institution we feel most connected to because of its long and continuing history of social and religious work in our community.

Nearly 18 months after the July 4^th, 2010 death of Lebanon’s preeminent Islamic scholar, the Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah, but seeming more like three months ago, the ‘Fadlallah Hassaniyeh’ is an ever active beehive of social work and religious study and truly a working people’s institution.

It is also the manifestation of Sayed Fadlallah’s achievement’s for and commitments to all in our community, Shia, Sunni, Christians and non-believers.

Unaware that it was the 12^thday of the lunar month of Rabih el Awwal, the Prophet Mohammad bin Abdillah’s birthday, I was surprised by all the activity saturating the surrounding streets and the hundreds of school children in celebratory clothes doing various activities enjoying the festivity with their families.

Suddenly a gaggle of pre-teen friends from our neighborhood ran up to me and pulled me to the front of the vast ornate Fadlallah Mosque and to the tables in front where children were distributing small cloth wrapped candies in celebration. When night descends, which is early these days, the children might be given fireworks by their parents as was common in the past. Yet given so much uncertainly these days in the region and in Lebanon, even relatively mild explosive noises cause my neighbors to hustle their flocks inside and avoid balconies and windows until they understand what the noise was all about.

By then too late for my appointment, I postponed it and entered the Mosque and sat on a bench near the burial chamber (Maqam) of Ayatollah Fadlallah. I reflected on what he meant to Muslims and Christians in Lebanon and to all people of good will around the World and to me personally. I had the honor to meet with him several times and count his son Ali, who has succeeded him in much of his work, as my friend. As I sat close to the Maqam, I was surprised to see members of our community still arriving to his resting place, lean forward and speak privately to him and pledge to follow his progressive teachings, fatwas, and examples. Some, inspired by his life’s work took vows to become better people in their relations with others.

I also still recall vividly his funeral and the untold thousands who came to our neighborhood to join his funeral procession on July 6, 2010.

Friends carried his body around our neighborhood. They then marched to the spot of 1985 CIA-Saudi assassination attempt, which killed 90 mainly school children and women and wounded more than 250, before returning to Imam Rida Mosque where he was laid to rest. Tens of thousands of mourners gathered at the mosque for prayer services before the funeral procession.

From all across the region delegations arrived and every Lebanese political and religious leader attended eccept the small minded Maronite Cardinal Patriarch Sfeir who took umbrage at Fadallah’s positive views about one person-one vote democracy. Sayeed Fadlallah did not favor Lebanon being ruled by the current archaic French colonial legacy of parceling out political power based on the undemocratic confessional formulae of the 1943 Paris installed National Pact.

His passing shocked and saddened the region and the loss of his advocacy of dialogue, respect and unity among all religions is incalculable. Justice for Palestine and ending the Zionist occupation was part of his unwavering lifelong work. Some media outlets, reported that shortly before he died, and upon being asked by a medical attendant a few days ago if he needed anything, he replied, “Only the end of the Zionist occupation of Palestine.”

I recalled the morning of 4^th of July, Zeinab, the nurse on duty at the blood donor’s clinic at Bahman Hospital, a block from my home in Haret Hreik, had just instructed this observer to remain sitting for five minutes and to drink the juice she gave me before I returned to south Beirut’s blazing sun.

A companion and I had each just donated a pint of blood in response to an appeal from friends who worked in the Translation Office of Lebanon’s much loved Fadlallah. He had been hospitalized for the past 12 days but on Friday his stomach bleeding had increased dramatically, related to complications from a liver problem he had been treated for over the past several years. Sayeed Fadallah also suffered from diabetes and high blood pressure.

As we waited, Zeinab returned, tears in her eyes, and simply said, “The Sayeed has passed away.” And she disappeared. So did my Shia hijabed companion, and as it seemed, everyone from the floor.

I decided to walk down the stairs to the main level and could hear sobs from hospital staff on each floor, now seemingly darkened with each level eerier than the preceding one as I descended.

As I left the main entrance of Bahman hospital, I was thinking about some of the more than a dozen meetings I had the honor to attend with Grand Ayatolah Fadlallah and some of his staff over the past three years. Such as those who regularly visited him from the Washington DC based Council for the National Interest and one visit that I had arranged for former President Jimmy Carter.

Suddenly there was movement for two blocks in front and along the side streets adjacent to Bahman, a state of the art and science Hospital operated by Fadlallah’s Al Marbarrat Charity. This hospital was among hundreds of civil buildings in Haret Hreik and South Beirut, that Israel had bombed in July of 2006. The Fadlallah home was also reduced to rubble.

“How did these guys get here so fast” I wondered, for it was only minutes since the Majaa (religious guide) to millions in the Middle East had died. Some security units, dressed in black shirts, caps and trousers, walkie talkies in their left hands, others in civilian clothes, quickly placed traffic barriers in the area. They politely asked that all vehicles including motorcycles be relocated a least two blocks away.

Some, from their appearance, obviously war toughened fighters, wept and consoled men and women who began arriving at the hospital to pay their respects, first in two and three’s and then streams.

The loudspeakers from the Hassanaya Mosque, where every Friday Fadlallah for the past nearly 20 years, delivered sermons to tens of thousands of faithful, Muslim and Christian alike, began broadcasting religious music and Koranic verses to our shocked and grief stricken neighborhood. During the night of the 27^th day of Ramadan, known as Laylat al-Kadr, (according to the Al Kadar Sura in the Koran, this is the day that the Angel Gabriel came down from heaven and the beginning of the revelation of the Koran) more than 50,000 filled Fadlallah’s Mosque and surrounding streets.

“The father, the leader, the marjaa, the guide, the human being is gone. “Sayyed Fadlallah has died this morning,” senior aide Ayatollah Abdullah al-Ghurayfi told a hastily called news conference, at the hospital, joined by the late cleric’s sons, Sayyed Ali Fadlallah and Jaafar, who, like nearly everyone else in attendance, could not hold back tears.

The sweltering evening of July 5^th, an American delegation was given by his family and Hezbollah security the rare honor of viewing the body of Lebanon’s senior Shia cleric inside his Mosque near where he would be buried at 1:30 p.m. the following afternoon. The group met a wide spectrum of Lebanon’s political and resistance leadership but were not joined by anyone from the US Embassy since their government will boycott Lebanon’s national day of mourning and the burial of this Washington branded “Terrorist.”

It was in 1995, that then President Bill Clinton, at the urging of AIPAC and facing a re-election campaign, so designated him. Former President Carter promised during a visit in June of 2009 that he would contact President Obama immediately about this travesty but was unable to have his name removed before the Sayeed’s death.

The American delegation paying their respects included residents of New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, California, Hawaii and Oregon, a Catholic Priest and two nuns, some of whom were in Beirut as participants in the delayed Lebanon flotilla to help break the siege of Gaza. They felt they were the true representatives of their country, not their Embassy, thought by some to be in Lebanon to promote Israel’s agenda, not American interests.

Ever misleading the public with respect to the Middle East, the main stream western media began a thousand reports with the words, ““A fiery anti-American critic died.” It is nonsense of course. Fadallah was very pro-American in the sense that he often extolled the founding American principles and his relationship with the American people was valued by both. Barely two weeks before his death he left his sick bed to meet with a group of Americans from Washington DC, against the advice of his Doctors, and he urged them to work to preserve the founding principles on which their country was founded and to encourage dialogue between Muslims, Christians and Jews and to end the occupations of this region.

Like the rapidly growing number of American critics of US policy in the Middle East, many of his Fadlallah’s Friday prayer sermons denounced arming and supporting serial Israelis aggressions.

For more than 50 years, he worked at “modernizing” the Shari’a and rendering it accessible to modern day youth, addressing their concerns, expectations and fears in a fast-changing world. He was truly the Mufti of the youth and of women, their guide who never oppressed their dreams and always simplified rulings. He was available for questions regarding the most taboo of social and political subjects. He was also the enemy of stalemate and a rejecter of tradition in its inflexible sense. He insisted on subjecting all ideas to discussions, debates and reassessments and was much more interested in human beings than doctrines.

His followers revered him for his moderate social views, openness and pragmatism. Fadlallah issued religious edicts forbidding female circumcision, condemning domestic violence-even allowing women to wear cosmetics and finger nail polish which some clerics opposed, and insisting that women could physically resist abusive husbands. He strongly supported female-male equality. He rejected the blood-letting at Ashoura events and like Hezbollah encouraged his followers to donate blood to the Red Crescent Society instead of cutting themselves. He also opposed the call to “jihad,” or holy war, by Osama bin Laden and cruised the Afghan Taliban, which he viewed as a sect outside Islam and he was among the first to condemn the 9/11 attacks. Fadlallah opposed ‘suicide attacks” but distinguished the right of an individual to sacrifice himself as a weapon during asymmetrical warfare by aggressors.

Fadlallah supported the Islamic revolution in Shiite Iran, and advocated armed resistance to Israel. In 2009, again during a meeting with Americans, including Jews, Fadlallah, whose family came from the southern Lebanese village of Ainata, reiterated his call for a Muslim-Jewish dialogue as part of interfaith efforts aimed at bridging the gap among various religious, rejecting any offense against Jews or Christians in any Arab or Muslim country. But he emphasized to the delegation the importance of a Muslim-Jewish dialogue away from Zionist influence, stressing that Jews need to be freed from the cycle of world Zionism and Israel should be confronted because of its occupation of Arab lands.

He welcomed the election of Barack Obama in the US, telling the Wall Street Journal in 2009 that“some of Obama’s statements show that he believes in the method of dialogue”.He added: We don’t have a problem with any American president, but our problem is with his policy that might affect our strategic interest.” He later told visitors of his disappointment at President Obama’s Middle East policy, accusing him of being “under pressure” from Israeli supporters and “not a man who has a plan for peace”.

Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah had a widespread reputation for piety and scholarship through his teaching and the more than 40 books and treatises he wrote. He established religious schools and foundations, clinics and libraries as part of the charitable Al Marrarat Foundation

In summary, Mohammad Hussein Fadallah was too moderate, progressive and too effective a spokesman advocating for the deprived to be tolerated by the US administration and Israel. Both required more stereotypical radical Muslim clerics to smear the region. The Mossad is believed to have targeted him more than half a dozen times including during the July 2006 Israeli attack.

A generation was inspired by Sayeed Fadallah and listened to him and studied his voluminous writings. Two generations feel the emptiness of his passing away.

Mohammad Hussein Fadallah was a rare man of an angel’s wit, mirth and singular learning. A marvelous man of gentleness, lowliness and affability. Sometimes when defending the rights of Muslims,Christians, Jews and all people of faith or non-believers of good will, his countenance was changed by a sad gravity and his smiling eyes darkened. For to his core, Grand Ayatollah Fadlallah believed in the right and responsibility to resist injustice and occupation.

He was a man for all seasons whose conscience and piety would not allow him to be idle as long as the poor and downtrodden remained dispossessed and voiceless or his beloved Lebanon and Palestine was occupied. For this, and for no other reason he was placed and kept on the US Political Terrorism list as a Specially Designated Terrorist (SDT) in the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control and his American charitable assets confiscated.

Like Thomas More, Fadlallah rejected offered inducements and bribes including T list removal from Washington if he followed the Kings wishes and stop support to the Lebanese National resistance. He wore his nonsensical Terrorist label as a badge of honor as his daily good works mocked and marked the list keepers with shame and cowardice for squandering American founding principles and for funding, arming and providing diplomatic cover to the Zionist colonial project that stole Palestine.

Each month since Sayed Fadlallah’s passing brings deeper understanding about the greatness of this public servant and the value of his achievements. Following Arbeen, the Muslim 40 day period of mourning for the departed, I visited with two of Fadallah’s close associates who wondered whether the future without his leadership would lead to his social service agency, the Mabarrat, having to cut back on its 30 schools, medical facilities, and social service agencies. They were worried that with his parting, his life’s work might become diminished and growing demands in the community could not be met.

This morning I was advised by a key aide of the late Ayatollah Fadlallah that the Marbarrat, thanks to Fadlallah’s administrative skill, planning and foresight is strong, expanding and will long serve our community.

May Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah forever rest in Peace.

Israel claims Anonymous Video by Iran Agents

Much consternation and nervous navel gazing has broken out amongst the Jewish community recently, due to the on-going cyber- attacks against Israeli websites. A Jerusalem Post article yesterday claimed, that the recent Anonymous video (Message to the state of Israel) is the work of Iranian agents. Yet they have not a single shred of evidence for their groundless suppositions. The author of this article is Dr Andre Oboler; holds a PhD in Computer Science from the UK and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in political science in Israel. Dr Andre Oboler is an ‘Expert in Social Media’. Just yesterday I caught Dr Obler busy on twitter trying to ‘de-legitimise’ the Anonymous movement. Here Dr Obler tells his Zionist chums that the Anonymous video is a fake and he repeats that old paranoid lie – ‘Wipe Israel off the Map’ . I also observed him trying to convince hackers that the video was a fake.

The truth is protesters; hacktivists and activists have been realizing in ever greater numbers that the real global enemy is Zionism. This can be easily demonstrated by numerous abuses and UN resolutions against Israel.

This website is championing the Zionist cause on the internet and comes filled with anti-Palestine propaganda & jingoistic chest thumping hasbara. They openly mock the notion of Palestine and maintain it is a fictional state that never really existed. They watch and monitor other hacktivists, keyphrases and hashtags. I have observed ZionOps hijacking various hashtags. What Zionops are doing is trying to hijack the #OpFreePalestine hashtag which was being used by hacktivists and put their own misinfo out.

Lavrov Urges Syria Dialogue, Says Ceasefire Needed before Peacekeeping Mission

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on Monday for dialogue in Syria, stressing that a ceasefire was needed in Syria before the United Nations could deploy UN-Arab peacekeepers in the country.

Speaking after a meeting on Monday in the Russian capital, Moscow, with his Emirati counterpart, Lavrov said: "We have joint efforts to support the [Syrian] people and its aspiration and hopes for a better life, democratic development, joint effort for this aspiration to stop this bloodshed".
"For this reason we need wide inter-Syrian dialogue and co-operation to find a solution or decisions which will meet the interest of all Syrians and which will rule out interference from outside".

The minister said that his country was considering the Arab initiative.
"We are studying this initiative and expect our friends from the Arab states to provide us with a clarification of certain points," Lavrov said after talks with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahayan.

"In order to deploy a peacekeeping mission, you need the agreement of the receiving side," Lavrov said. "In other words, you need to agree something resembling a ceasefire. But the problem is that the armed groups that are fighting the Syrian regime do not answer to anyone and are not controlled by anyone."

The Arab League on Sunday urged the United Nations to a joint peacekeeping force to Syria.
For its part, Damascus rejected the plan as a “flagrant” interference, assuring it was determined to restore security.

Two Deaths – 7579.1 Miles Apart

Two deaths – 7591 miles apart, one in Gaza and one in Los Angeles, U.S.A. No one could have missed the headline news today that Whitney Houston has been found dead in a room at the Beverley Hills Hotel.

The B.B.C. have the news of Whitney’s death as the headline “Whitney Houston’s Death Stuns Music World”. Such is the world today where celebrity news, though undoubtly tragic as any death at a young age is, takes precedence over the myriad of other stories that might have been headlines.

One such story that would never have made the headlines is of a 71 year old man in Gaza, Palestine. The B.B.C. manages to mention the death, but of course he is a nameless person. The headline reads “One killed in Israeli Air Strikes on Gaza Strip”. For the B.B.C. and many of their readers, Abd Al Kareem Al Zaitouna is just a statistic. According to the Israelis he is no doubt a “terrorist”.

So who exactly was Abd al Kareem? Well all I know is that he was a 71 year old man who was a guard at a chicken farm in the Zaitouna district of Gaza. The chicken sheds pictured here after they were razed to the ground are described in some news stories, as “barracks”. You have to look at the picture of the destruction and wonder at how much heavy weaponry and high-tech equipment was used to destroy a corrugated steel structure. No problem of course, American tax payers will pick up the bill. The question as to just why anyone would leave a 71 year old man to guard an army barracks and just how some chicken sheds pose an existential threat to Israel, is one anyone with a modicum of logic or common sense should be asking.

The fact is that Israel can kill anyone they like in Gaza. They can kill using a massive array of weapons from automatic guns fired by women sitting in control rooms miles away, they can fire from naval vessels in the sea off the coast of Gaza, they can fire from the F16′s or helicopters overhead. The civilians of Gaza are under constant threat of death from one of the most sophisticated and heavily armed armies in the world.

We should all do what we can to highlight and challenge injustice. So I thought, so that Abd Al Kareem does not remain a nameless, faceless statistic, just another fatality in Gaza, I will give him a name and a face by publishing his picture.

Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned.

"... Barely a year has passed, and the interim government has been in office less than three months. The government has yet to deliver on its pledge to reform the judiciary and conduct what it has called "interim justice". Any trial taking place today is being conducted in the very same judicial system that the rebels had fought against.

In the meantime, rebel militias particularly in Misurata, Sirte and Tripoli are being accused of a series of basic rights violations, murder and armed robbery. The government has yet to make a single arrest in those cases, let alone begin the process of trying them.

At least 10 of my friends have long since disappeared. I know that at least three of them were killed in cold blood, while another two are in jail. I know nothing about the other five. Their families, desperate for news, every now and then check whether I have heard anything.

They have tried every possible means available to find out what has happened to their loved ones, but in vain. Of the 10, eight were university professors whose only crime was going on live television to urge an end to the war last summer. We all share the same values, true Libyans concerned with rebuilding our country after years of living abroad.

It's not clear how many prisoners are being held in the "new" Libya. While human-rights groups, including those representing the United Nations, talk of 7,000 to 10,000, eyewitnesses and former prisoners talk of three times those figures. Warnings are now common about widespread torture. A recently released friend told me how he had been kept for more than a week, his diabetes medication confiscated by guards. He was tearful when he described what was going on in what he dubbed Misurata's "concentration camp", where prisoners as young as 15 are kept behind bars with no visits from relatives or access to lawyers.

The living conditions at those prisons are terrible. Death by torture is widespread across the country, but the most notorious stories come from Misurata.

In Tripoli, people vanish sometimes without a trace. Less than a month ago a well-known and highly respected career diplomat, Dr Omar Brebesh, a former ambassador to France, was lured from his office for an interview by militia members, some of whom he knew personally. He went to their makeshift office outside Tripoli and vanished. A couple of days later his body, showing signs of torture, turned up in a forest west of Tripoli...."

O.K. I admit I mislead readers with that headline, of course Gilad’s book is not banned, what it should have read was P.S.C. members who read books “we” don’t like should be banned.

Wait a minute, let me put that more clearly; the book should be banned, the people who read it should be banned and probably the P.S.C. should be banned as well.

This is “the word” according to Anthony Cooper.

Palestine Solidarity Campaign members are holding a book reading circle in Brighton. This seemingly innocent and gentle pastime is causing outrage to Anthony Cooper someone whom I know little about except that he appears to be some kind of Gestapo inspired thought police, he certainly spends a lot of time cyber stalking P.S.C. members and what they do in their spare time.

The P.S.C. made a huge error of judgement when they started trying to appease Zionist and so called Anti Zionist bullies, who knows where this McCarthy like hunt for alleged anti Semites (people that Jews don’t like) might end.

So long as its members are happy to join Holocaust deniers to study racist books, the PSC shouldn’t expect reasonable people to take their words seriously.

Evidently “reasonable people” think you should only read books which meet with their approval, no matter that we have laws in the U.K. against racism which would ensure “racist books” were banned. “The Wandering Who” by Gilad Atzmon is endorsed by a long list of humanists headed by no less than John Mearsheimer and Richard Falk. Of course Anthony Cooper and Tony Greenstein have a lot in common in so much as they both like to perpetuate the lie that Gilad Atzmon is a holocaust denier, which he is not.

It would be nice to see the P.S.C. finally join the resistance and become a real solidarity movement, then we really would be able to take them seriously.

BBC reported yesterday that Financier Nathaniel Rothschild has lost his libel case against the Daily Mail following a 2010 story which he said portrayed him as a “puppet-master”.

The paper said Rothschild set up a meeting between then EU Trade Commissioner Lord Mandelson and Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska on the eve of a major trade deal.
Mr Rothschild, 40, had sought substantial damages over what he described as

“sustained and unjustified attacks”

by the Daily Mail in the piece published in May 2010.

The paper had said Mr Rothschild had fostered a relationship it believed to be inappropriate at that time between oligarchs Mr Deripaska and Lord Mandelson.

But Mr Rothschild said the trip to Abakan was purely social and involved himself, Lord Mandelson, Mr Deripaska, and two other men. He said the group visited a smelter facility, a sauna, partook in skiing, football, ice-hockey and Russian billiards.

The Daily Mail spokesman said the judgment vindicated the paper’s report.
He said:

Mr Justice Tugendhat accepted Mr Rothschild’s conduct had been inappropriate in a number of respects”

and had

brought Lord Mandelson’s public office and personal integrity into disrepute and exposed him to accusations of conflict of interest”.

This case is a reminder, at a time when newspapers are under attack for invading privacy, that the rich and powerful regularly use the law to prevent legitimate scrutiny of their activities. Had the Mail lost this case, it could have incurred costs of more than £1m.
I guess that the High Court of Justice gave a green light to British press to chase our corrupted politicians and financiers who clearly lack the capacity to restrain themselves.

Ambassador Ahmad said that such Arab governments are those who stand against any balanced, political solution to the crisis in Syria, reject calls for putting an end to terrorism and violence, impose sanctions on the Syrian people and destruct the infrastructure.
He underlined that the press show practiced by some Arab Ministers today during the Council's meeting reflected the hostile and unbalanced stances of those countries against Syria.

Ambassador Ahmad called on the countries who have commitment to the independency of their national and pan-Arab decision to confront attempts of abducting the Arab decision, making it subject to Arab governments' agenda and policies who seek, through money, Gas and oil, and in alliance with the US and west to impose hegemony on the Arab joint action and exploiting it in favor of foreign agendas.

Meeting of Arab Ministerial Committee on Syrian Crisis held

The Arab Ministerial Committee concerned with the Syrian crisis was held on Sunday to discuss the latest developments on the Syrian file.

The Committee will discuss the results of the ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council's countries held earlier on the day regarding the stance towards the Syrian crisis.

The Committee is expected to refer its views to the resumed extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, which is to be held immediately after the Committee's meeting.

Nabil al-Arabi, the Arab League Secretary General presented a proposal to the Arab Ministers to return to the UN Security Council in coordination with different sides concerned to issue an immediate resolution which reflects the AL determination to bring the foreign intervention into Syria.

He claimed that the Arab Observer mission "was shocked" since the beginning that the Syrian commitments were not fully implemented, ignoring the existence of armed terrorist groups that perpetrate crimes against civilians and law enforcement members.

Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal presented fallacies about what is really happening in the country, expressing support, along with Qatari counterpart to hold the so-called "Syria Friends Conference."

‘Wandering Who?’ Reading Group

On 7^th February 2012 Ben Mullins, Brenda Brown, Francis Clark-Lowes, Penny and Jim Porter and Valerie Phillips (Phil) gathered in Brighton, UK, to discuss the Foreword and Chapter 1 of ? (Winchester and Washington DC, Zero Books, 2011).

According to your point of view, this work is either ‘a fascinating and provocative book on Jewish identity in the modern world’ (John J. Meersheimer, review quoted at the beginning of the book) or ‘On Jewish identity Atzmon has nothing new to say’ (Tony Greenstein, http://azvsas.blogspot.com/2011/12/review-wandering-who.html).

Before we started to look at the book, we had a discussion about how our meetings would be organised and what our purpose would be. There was some difference between those who simply wanted to study the text and those who believed our aim should be to draw conclusions about campaigning. We resolved this by agreeing that everyone should take what they wanted from the meetings, but that our focus should initially be on the ideas expressed in the book.

We will be meeting monthly for a year, looking at a couple of sections of the text each time, facilitated in rotation by one of the group. Participants are asked to read the relevant chapters for the next meeting in advance, so that we can concentrate on a couple of key elements at the meetings without them being taken out of context.

This time we started on the phrase: ‘… tribalism can never live in peace with humanism and universalism’ (p. 1). There was some discomfort with this polarity, dualism, dichotomy or whatever else you might call it. Are universalism and humanism as identities entirely credible, and is tribalism necessarily a bad thing? Phil had spent some time in Namibia where she had seen the beneficial side of tribalism. Indeed we wondered if Jewish tribalism was necessarily a problem? We would be returning to this subject as it was clearly central to Atzmon’s view of the world.

‘I didn’t see the Palestinians around me’ (p. 2). This referred to Atzmon’s upbringing in Israel, and led us to discuss the whole nature of exclusion as a psychological phenomenon. We wondered, for example, whether the colonial type of mentality is essentially different from, say, ignoring beggars in the streets of Brighton. Perhaps the question was one of degree rather than of categorical difference. We all agreed that it was particularly pronounced in Israel, and that for Zionism to work it needed to be.

‘… the people who excited me most were actually a bunch of black Americans – people who had nothing to do with the Zionist miracle or with my own chauvinist, exclusivist tribe’ (p. 3). We reflected on crossing cultural boundaries, what enabled it, and why it was rare, at least in the case of primary identities like nationality and religion. Karl Mannheim’s Ideology and Utopia (London, Routledge, 1936) was mentioned because it dealt specifically with this subject. Most people, according to Mannheim, are trapped within the identity provided by their own cultural group. It is only people who somehow don’t fit who are able to cross cultural boundaries. As a Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany who settled in London, this was, of course, his own case.

‘… the binary opposition Jew/Nazi was in itself a result of my Judeo-centric indoctrination’ (p. 6). We were agreed that no group had a monopoly on good or evil, humanism or inhumanity.

‘I grasped that Israel and Zionism were just parts of the wider Jewish problem … hardly any commentator is courageous enough to wonder what the word Jew stands for … a taboo within Western discourse’ (p. 15). Received wisdom has it, of course, that a clear distinction can be made between the terms Zionist and Jew. This led us into a discussion about whether generalisations about groups, especially negative generalisations, can be justified. The view was expressed that generalisation is a crucial element of thinking.

Lastly we considered Atzmon’s division of Jews into three categories: religious Jews, accidental Jews (by birth) and ideological Jews, and his view that only the last was a problem. We wondered whether it was so easy to distinguish these categories, and whether categories one and two didn’t also lend their support, often unconsciously, to Jewish ideology.

Not surprisingly with a group of people keen to engage in discussion, we hadn’t covered the whole of the two sections of writing we set out to study. Nor did we reach any very firm conclusions; rather we raised a number of pertinent questions. In other words, Atzmon’s ideas were put on the table and looked at critically in preparation for our further meetings. All members of the group have been consulted in preparing this report, and the same procedure will be followed with future reports which will again be posted on this site.

Tribalism, Racism and Projection – part 1

It doesn’t take a genius to see that people who are identified as Zionist and Jews are, somehow, over represented in many blunders in today’s world affairs. The pro-war, Neocon think-tanks were overwhelmingly saturated with Zionist Jews, and the ‘moral interventionist’ advocates within the media are also largely Zionist Jews. The ‘brains’ behind the so-called Bush doctrine i.e. The ‘War Against Terror’, were Paul Wolfowitz and Scooter Libby, and if that were not enough, at the heart of the financial turmoil we also find Jewish persons, and financial institutions that are clearly recognizable as Jewish – such as the Lehman Brother, Goldman Sachs, Alan Greenspan, Bernie Madoff, and many others.

Here one must ask an obvious question – why should any Jew anywhere in the world be concerned in any way with these facts? Why should any Jewish person be concerned with actions or ideas that he or she probably has nothing to do with? Why should my Jewish neighbour, also subject to the financial turmoil and with no connection whatsoever with Madoff, Wolfowitz, David Aaronovitch or Lord ‘cash point’ Levy, be at all concerned with current financial or imperial blunders for which he has no responsibility? Why should my Jewish musician friends who have no ties to Israel, AIPAC, CFI, CST, Nick Cohen or Alan Greenspan feel guilty for crimes or actions taken by others just because they also happen to be Jewish? Would a Frenchman or an Irishman in America feel threatened or potentially discriminated against because of revelations that a few of their expatriates had been involved in a major colossal scandal?

So, the question I raise here is a simple one: why should any Jew feel guilty for crimes that are committed by other people – people he or she does not know and is not affiliated with? And the answer is equally simple – Jewish individuals have no reason to assume responsibility for actions committed by other Jews. But the truth of the matter is, that many Jews are extremely concerned about the current blunders: some feel guilty, and many – potentially at least – feel threatened. I would say that such a reaction merits our attention.

Amongst my other sins, I regularly monitor the Jewish media, and it is obvious to me that Jewish institutions are put on alert by any scandal that is even mildly associated with Jewish protagonists or institutions. Jewish media outlets give the impression that every blunder associated with a Jew is highly likely to turn itself into a wave of vile anti-semitism.

We are left to wonder then whether the Jewish fear of anti-Semitism is actually justified, or whether it is simply driven by a ‘fantasy of destruction’.

In my latest book The Wandering Who I contend that Jewish fear of anti-Semitism is largely self-inflicted and has very little to do with the surrounding reality. Jews tend to regard themselves as a tribe and most Jews are subjected to a degree of cultural and racially driven indoctrination. On the one hand, the religion of Judaism teaches its followers that “all of Israel are responsible for one another” (1) (Kol Yisrael areivin zeh l’zeh); while on the other hand, the non religious, secular, emancipated Jews who identify politically, ideologically and socially as Jews they also operate within Jewish ethno-centric settings. Even within the Palestinian solidarity movement we find Jews who operate within ‘Jews only’ cells such as JBIG (Jews for Boycott Of Israeli Goods) and IJAN (International Jewish Antizionist Network). Somehow, they also feel primarily ‘responsible for one another.’

This reading of contemporary Jewish communities may reveal why many Jews are alarmed by crimes committed by other Jews – Jews whom they don’t even know.
I can think of three reasons for such a situation:

Projection: Because some Jews regard themselves as a racially exclusive tribe, they tend to believe that others - non Jews - will also regard them as such. In other words, many Jews project their own ethno-centric symptoms onto the Goyim i.e. They think the Goyim are as racially driven as they are.
Guilt: Because some Jews tend to regard themselves as a racially exclusive tribe, they feel guilty for not stopping those members of the tribe who are involved in some major blunders.
Conjunction –- both 1 and 2.

It is increasingly clear then, that at the heart of the Jewish fear of anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish bigotry we find Jewish racial orientation, manifesting itself in various forms of projection and guilt. Though it is clear that Jews do not actually form a race, there is little doubt that Jewishness - and especially Jewish secular discourse - is racially, or at least tribally driven. Not many people are aware of the racial tension between different Jewish communities such as Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews. In Israel the blood donation of Black citizens with Ethiopian background is disposed of for ‘medical reasons. Israel legal system is saturated with discriminatory racist and supremacist laws against the Arab and non-Jewish population.

To a certain extent then, the fear of anti-Semitism inherent to the Zionist and Jewish secular political discourse is fuelled by the belief that the ‘other,’ i.e. the Goy, may well be equally driven by a similar racist ideology.

Some Jews, it must be said, might offer reasons to reject the above explanation: they might argue that Jewish history (i.e. that endless chain of Shoas), proves that ‘the sons of Israel’ would be justified in being on a constant state of alert. Jews, they might say, should be constantly aware that their neighbours might turn against them at any given moment.

I suggest that we are dealing here with a ‘chicken and egg’ situation: while some Jews would agree among themselves that anti-Semitism is largely an ‘irrational disease’, a few historians such as Bernard Lazare were brave and honest enough to ask why and how exactly, Jews have managed to bring so much pain on themselves.

The Arab Spring: The Root Causes?

At the end of 2010 and the beginning of the 2011, a series of demonstrations and protests began to rise in the Arab world. These protests have become known as the "Arab Spring" (Ashley 2011), or, as someone else called it, the “Arab awakening” (Aljazeera, 2011).

The Tunisian revolution that took place in the self-immolation of Mohamad Bouazizi on 18 December 2010 in protest of police corruption and ill treatment (Fahim, 2011 ), has shaken authoritarian leaders across the Arab world in areas such as Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Bahrain. In this article we will try to answer the following question: why did the Arabs rebel? The Arab world was living a very difficult economic and social situation as in Europe in 1848. Poverty, rising food prices, inflation, human rights violation, and high unemployment were the main phenomena the Arabs were facing.

In addition there was much corruption of Arab leaders as shown by some of the Wikileaks diplomatic cables. The main reasons of the Arab revolts are not limited to internal causes, so it is important to analyze the international causes such as the failure of the war on terror, the Iraqi war and the U.S.A - European strategy of the imported democracy. Another possible reason could be the failure of the peace process in the Israeli- Arabic conflict.

1. The internal causes:

Throughout history, any revolution is a result of many events that completely change the nature of the society and its political life. The French revolution (1789-99), for example, was due to many factors such as economic difficulties, political rights and rising food prices (Sydenham1997).

William Shaub, in his article, The Roots of the Revolution in Egypt, has highlighted on the average per –capita and it's possible affect on the revolution. He wrote, “Egypt has had a massive income gap throughout Mubarak’s control, which is clearly the root cause of the original uprising. One half of Egyptians live on $2/day or less. The average per-capita income in the country is just $6,200." The two Russians researchers, A. Korotayev and J. Zinkina, in their analysis on the Egyptian revolution, affirmed that Egypt was one of the most fast growth of the world food prices, and that definitely had influences on destabilization of Egyptian sociopolitical system (Korotayev et al: 011).
Unemployment in the Arab region is also a major source of economic insecurity and for destabilization of any political system. According to Don Tapscott, "twenty-four percent of young people in the region cannot find jobs" (Guardian:2011). This percentage of young unemployment is very high and the Arab countries in the region have not been able to change this situation and create new jobs, especially after the world financial crises.

Political and human rights are fundamental for any society and Arab region lives a situation well described by Hisham Sharabi in his book Neo-patriarchy. " Even when most states arrived a very high level of democracy and political rights, the Arab region still suffers from bad political systems based on corruption, state of emergency laws, the lack of free elections and freedom of speech and religious fundamentalism " (Sharabi: 2006).

Egypt was no exception to this corruption and lack of political freedom. After the 1967 'Six Day War', for example, the emergency law number 162 of 1958 was issued. This law limited the freedom and "[gave] greater powers to the police, suspend[ed]certain constitutional rights in the name of security, allow[ed] the state to detain individuals and censor and close newspapers more easily and allow[ed] authorities to try civilians in front of military and security courts under certain circumstances” (Sehata: 2004). It is also important to bring to the light that in Egyptian political history many events outside of Egypt had an impact on democracy and political freedom, such as 9/11 attack in the U.S.A. This event and the ongoing “War on Terrorism” have been used as an excuse to increase the violation of the human rights and facilitated the role of the military court (ibid).

After all these internal causes of the Arab revolt, it is important to not underestimate the role of the technology and the social network (Facebook, Twiter ) that facilitated the communication between the protesters. For this reason, the governments in Egypt and Tunisia shut down the Internet during the last protest against Mubarak and Ben Ali, in order to limit communication between protest groups.

2. The international causes:

The geographic position of many Arab states protagonist of the “Arab Spring" lead us to analyze also the International causes of these revolts. Egypt is the biggest Arab state and it is the first state that signed a peace accord with Israel. At the same time Cairo during Mubarak regime enjoyed a solid alliance with the United States in addition to the high influence on Palestinian parties. To understand better the 25 January revolution in Egypt we have to focus on the relations between Israel and Egypt before the revolution. The best vision on the relation between the Hebrew state and the Pharonic one is the article of Benn Aluf, Israeli journalist, published on Haaretz.

The article, which appeared under the title "A prayer for the health of the rais," began by stating that "of all the world's statesmen, the one closest to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak" (Benn, 2010). Thanks to Mubarak, Egypt became a strategic ally of Israel, as well as Israel's primary supplier of energy. Egypt has also ensured Israel’s stability and security. As a result of all of this the author concludes, "were Israel's leaders given one wish, they might ask that Mubarak be granted immortality."( ibid).

This article show how much the ideals of Mubarak were from Egyptians will and dreams. Egyptians have always refused the Camp David peace agreement, and since the fall of President Hosni Mubarak, “calls have grown in Egypt for ending the 1979 peace treaty with Israel” (Guardian, 2011).
In fact, on Friday 9 September 2011, “a group of 30 protesters broke into the Israeli embassy in Cairo and threw hundreds of documents out of the windows” (Ibid). The failure of the peace process between Palestinian and Israeli, the last aggression against Gaza on 2009 and against Lebanon on 2006 and the Lebanese victory against Israel, gave more reasons and courage to the Egyptians and Tunisian to demonstrate against their regime.

After the resignation of Ben Ali in Tunisia, and Mubarak in Egypt, much has occurred. Manifestations agianst governments have increased in number, seectarian clashes in Egypt have multiplied, and elections have been held in both countries amid an Islamic - elite political rule. Rather than holding a political position, this article wishes to go further - to give a scientific analysis of the events that have taken place, and evalutate the post-revolution period. The key question to adress is whether policy in Egypt and Tunisia changed in this transitional period?

It is perhaps too soon to adjudicate the work of the new political elite in both countries. However one thing is clear: The Arab people have changed and they will not accept the undemocratic politics of their countries' past. Should they be forced to, they will revolt again to protect their rights and claims.

Bill Clinton’s bombing of Serbia should serve as an inspiration, Fouad Ajami opines in the Wall Street Journal:

In this Syrian ordeal, President Obama has a similar opportunity to stop “the killing of innocents” in Homs, Hama and Deraa. The Damascus regime is living on bluster, running out of money, and relying on an army that has no faith in the mission given it or in the man at the helm. It could be brought down without a massive American commitment.

We could, with some moral clarity, recognize the Syrian National Council as the country’s legitimate government, impose a no-fly zone in the many besieged areas, help train and equip the Free Syrian Army, prompt Turkey to give greater support to defectors from Syrian units, and rally the wealthy Arab states to finance the effort.

There are risks to be run, no doubt. But at present we have only the shame of averting our eyes from Syrian massacres. If we act now, President Obama, when he pens his memoirs, could still claim vindication, or at least that he gave Homs and Hama and Deraa his best.

This is the same Middle East expert who predicted in 2002 that “after liberation in Basra and Baghdad, the streets are sure to erupt in joy.”

Like his friend Paul Wolfowitz, Ajami’s being so wrong about the consequences of the U.S. invasion of Israel’s then-enemy du jour appears not to have done his career any harm. A 2003 profile in The Nation noted that the Lebanese-born American

attached himself to such powerful patrons as Laurence Tisch, former chairman of CBS; Mort Zuckerman, the owner of US News & World Report; Martin Peretz, a co-owner of The New Republic; and Leslie Gelb, head of the Council on Foreign Relations.

No doubt Ajami’s “powerful patrons” are just as concerned as he is about the “the killing of innocents” in Syria.

'The West ready to "make the people of Homs pay the price for the mistake made in Baghdad"!

US Implausibly Denies Role in Israeli Terror Squads

February 10, 2012 - The British Daily Mail published a stunning admission by "US officials" that Israel is indeed funding, training, arming, and working directly with US State Department listed terrorist organization, the People's Mujahedin of Iran, also known as Mujahedeen e-Khalq (MEK).

The Daily Mail article states, "U.S. officials confirmed today that Israel has been funding and training Iranian dissidents to assassinate nuclear scientists involved in Iran's nuclear program." The article continues by claiming, "Washington insiders confirmed there is a close relationship between Mossad and MEK, according to NBC, but said the U.S. was not involved."

Of course, this is an overt lie, exposed by 3-4 years of documented collaboration between the United States and MEK, including an extensive conspiracy formulated within US policy think-tank Brookings Institution's 2009 "Which Path to Persia?" report, proposing to fully arm, train, and back MEK as it waged a campaign of armed terror against the Iranian people.

In their report, they openly conspire to use what is an admitted terrorist organization as a "US proxy" (emphasis added):

"Perhaps the most prominent (and certainly the most controversial) opposition group that has attracted attention as a potential U.S. proxy is the NCRI (National Council of Resistance of Iran), the political movement established by the MEK (Mujahedin-e Khalq). Critics believe the group to be undemocratic and unpopular, and indeed anti-American.
In contrast, the group’s champions contend that the movement’s long-standing opposition to the Iranian regime and record of successful attacks on and intelligence-gathering operations against the regime make it worthy of U.S. support. They also argue that the group is no longer anti-American and question the merit of earlier accusations. Raymond Tanter, one of the group’s supporters in the United States, contends that the MEK and the NCRI are allies for regime change in Tehran and also act as a useful proxy for gathering intelligence. The MEK’s greatest intelligence coup was the provision of intelligence in 2002 that led to the discovery of a secret site in Iran for enriching uranium.

Despite its defenders’ claims, the MEK remains on the U.S. government list of foreign terrorist organizations. In the 1970s, the group killed three U.S. officers and three civilian contractors in Iran. During the 1979-1980 hostage crisis, the group praised the decision to take America hostages and Elaine Sciolino reported that while group leaders publicly condemned the 9/11 attacks, within the group celebrations were widespread.
Undeniably, the group has conducted terrorist attacks—often excused by the MEK’s advocates because they are directed against the Iranian government. For example, in 1981, the group bombed the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party, which was then the clerical leadership’s main political organization, killing an estimated 70 senior officials. More recently, the group has claimed credit for over a dozen mortar attacks, assassinations, and other assaults on Iranian civilian and military targets between 1998 and 2001. At the very least, to work more closely with the group (at least in an overt manner), Washington would need to remove it from the list of foreign terrorist organizations."

It was also revealed in Seymour Hersh's 2008 New Yorker article "Preparing the Battlefield," that not only had MEK been considered for their role as a possible proxy, but that the US had already begun arming and financing them to wage war inside Iran:

"The M.E.K. has been on the State Department’s terrorist list for more than a decade, yet in recent years the group has received arms and intelligence, directly or indirectly, from the United States. Some of the newly authorized covert funds, the Pentagon consultant told me, may well end up in M.E.K. coffers. “The new task force will work with the M.E.K. The Administration is desperate for results.” He added, “The M.E.K. has no C.P.A. auditing the books, and its leaders are thought to have been lining their pockets for years. If people only knew what the M.E.K. is getting, and how much is going to its bank accounts—and yet it is almost useless for the purposes the Administration intends.”

Seymore Hersh in an NPR interview, also claims that select MEK members have already received training in the US.

It was also revealed that US forces in Iraq had provided MEK's main camp with security, and with the recent "withdrawal" of US troops from Iraq, the US State Department and even the UN have been scrambling to find a new safe haven for the US listed terrorist organization. Even more unimaginable is the fact that many of the foremost fearmongers and proponents of the "War on Terror" are engaged in desperate lobbying efforts to get MEK delisted by the US State Department. Among those signing the statement made in the ad were John Bolton, Howard Dean, Rudy Giuliani, Ed Rendell, and Tom Ridge. When reading the statement, it must be kept in mind that the Brookings Institution already confirmed that MEK was a terrorist organization and that it had verifiably killed US military personal and civilians. It must also be kept in mind that Brookings admitted that MEK's targets in Iran included political and civilian targets. With MEK's specialty being among other things, assassinations, they already were the most likely suspects behind the recent spat of targeted killings of Iranian scientists. Now, Daily Mail and US officials have confirmed MEK's role, however oafishly they try to cover-up obvious US involvement.
And while Israel's current regime is most definitely assisting MEK logistically, financially, tactically, and rhetorically, working in tandem to achieve Western hegemony across the Middle East, MEK's existence and sustenance is derived as much so, if not almost entirely from Wall Street and London, with Isreal serving merely as a regional conduit and beachhead with its regime a complicit cog of globalist ambitions. "US officials" deceitfully attempting to pawn off full responsibility onto Israel signals a new level of dangerous deception and subterfuge few are prepared to understand - but again, clues of this can be found within US policy papers frankly admitting the advantages of using Israel as a convenient scapegoat for what is a Wall Street/London agenda propagated through their contrived "international institutions" of "global governance."

Contrived Strategy of Tension

Indeed, Israel has long been portrayed as the "puppet master" of a vast "Zionist" conspiracy, however it is quite clear they have been made overtly "evil" to take the blame for what is essentially a global-elite agenda based out of Wall Street and London, two cities Israel's current regime would not exist without the support of. For the people residing under the current Israeli regime, it would be beneficial for them to realize that they are being thrown under the bus by both their alleged allies and their own government and will be made the full scapegoats of increasing hostilities targeting both Syria and Iran to insulate and preserve the mechanics of an emerging global government they have helped carve out.

The intention is to create a religious-centric strategy of tension to obfuscate both the true aims and perpetrators of this global agenda in hopes of getting Jews, Muslims, Christians and others to divide along predictable lines against each other globally rather than recognizing and targeting the elite that lord over them domestically and internationally.

It is essential to understand the criminality being perpetrated against sovereign nation-states throughout the Arab World, Iran, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and beyond, to identify the corporate-financier power structures driving it, and devising a method to undermine their source of power, and replace it entirely with local pragmatic solutions instead of being baited into a deceitful strategy of tension preying on long held, petty social and political predispositions. While such predispositions may lead to the destruction of Israel and many of its people, it will ultimately fail in stopping the global elite that created the modern state of Israel in the first place. In fact, such petty myopically pursued predispositions will almost certainly insulate those truly responsible and allow them and their "international institutions" to continue on with their agenda.

Egyptians oppose US economic aid, says Gallup

CAIRO: A new poll published by Gallup revealed that some 70 percent of Egyptians surveyed oppose United States economic aid to Egypt. The poll, conducted in December 2011, also said that Egyptians are against direct aid to civil society organizations in the country.

“This rebuke of US financial support may be a challenge for Egypt’s newly elected parliament and its future president as the government attempts to bolster the nation’s financial stability,” wrote Gallup in their report published on Monday.

Egyptians were not against international economic assistance altogether, however, showing signs of support from international aid groups.

Gallup reported that around 50 percent of the country favoring aid and assistance from international institutions.

Egypt’s ruling military junta and the interim government appointed by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) had initially rejected assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), but has since reversed their opposition.

Last month, Masood Ahmed, Director for the Middle East and Central Asia Department for the IMF, was in Egypt to discuss a potential $3.2 billion IMF loan to Egypt.

“Egyptian leaders’ ability to attract foreign aid and investment will be important to collecting the capital needed to move the nation’s economy forward,” Gallup continued.

Civil society groups have received tens of millions of dollars from the US since the January 2011 uprising ousted President Hosni Mubarak, but in the past month, the military rulers have cracked down on local and international NGOs, sending some 43 employees to a criminal court on Sunday to face charges for illegal funding.

Among those sent are 19 Americans, 5 Serbians, two Germans, three Arabs and the remaining Egyptians. Sam LaHood, the son of US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, who has made headlines recently after being barred from leaving Egypt, was among those charged.

The spat over American citizens being barred from leaving Egypt has left a diplomatic row between the military junta here in Egypt and the American government.

A senior State Department official said last week that a “handful of US citizens have opted to stay in the embassy compound in Cairo while awaiting permission to depart Egypt.”

The official, who was not allowed to discuss the matter on the record, would not say whether Sam LaHood, the son of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, was among those at the embassy.
LaHood said last week that he fears he could be jailed for up to five years after being barred from leaving the country earlier this month.

“As Egypt’s new parliament begins its work and the country’s citizens prepare for presidential elections, many Egyptians are suffering from the day-to-day realities of unemployment and price inflation. According to Gallup’s most recent survey in December 2011, Egyptians are most likely to name inflation and lack of money as the biggest problem facing their families; the second is lack of jobs,” added the report on the implications for Egypt’s future.

CAIRO: Speaking in parliament on Monday afternoon, MP Mustafa Bakri told his fellow elected officials that the ills of Egypt are the result of the United States, Israel and the former regime.

“Egypt is entering a state of anarchy caused by America, Israel, and the previous regime,” Bakri told parliament. He went on to argue that leading opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei was “directing” American agents in the country to cause unrest.

It also comes one day after Egypt transferred the case of 43 foreign and local NGO workers to a criminal court, where they face charges of “illegal funding” from abroad.

Among those charged are 19 Americans, including US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood’s son Sam LaHood, who was the director for Egypt’s International Republican Institute (IRI) office in Cairo.
Five days of clashes between police and protesters have left Egypt on edge. Police on Sunday night fired round after round of tear gas and birdshot at protesters in downtown Cairo, injuring scores of Egyptians.

At least 12 people have died in violence in Egypt’s capital and Suez.

Both Iranian, Israeli and Western commentators tend to believe that Israel and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, known as the MEK are behind the terror campaign.

In 1997, the State Department listed the MEK as a terrorist group, justifying it with an unclassified 40-page summary of the organization’s activities going back more than 25 years.

But in the last few weeks the Jewish Lobby in the USA is going out of its way to support the terrorist MEK.

Watch Zionist Alan Dershowitz advocating the immediate delisting of an active terror organisation.

In the video above Zionist Dershowitz urges the U.S. government to protect the 3,400 MEK members and their families at Camp Ashraf in Iraq, about 35 miles north of Baghdad. With the departure of U.S. troops, the MEK feared that Iraqi forces, with encouragement from Iran, would attack the camp, leading to a bloodbath. One may be naïve enough to believe that Dershowitz’call is nothing but noble, yet, embarrassingly enough, the same Dershowitz, has never been caught trying to stop his beloved Jewish State from murdering Palestinians in Gaza, in the West Bank or anywhere else.

Israeli channel 10 aired Thursday night a message from a member of the “Syrian National Council” to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which the first asked for Tel Aviv’s help in overthrowing the Syrian regime.

In his message, “Syrian National Council” member in Turkey Khaled Khoja considered that the Zionist entity’s benefit lies in toppling the Syrian regime which “works for Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas”.

Khoja stressed that keeping the Syrian regime is a victory to Iran, and is an implementation to its constant threats to wipe the Israeli entity off the map.

The non-governmental organization, whose self-appointed mandate is “to monitor the performance of the United Nations by the yardstick of its own Charter,” expressed regret, however, that the UNHRC resolution “paid special deference” to Syria’s “territorial integrity” and “political independence,” decrying the provision as “a clear jab at NATO’s intervention in Libya, and a pre-emptive strike against the principle of the international community’s responsibility to protect civilians under assault.”

AP reported that US General Martin Dempsey has met directly with the military leaders of Egypt to discuss an Egyptian "crackdown on Western-funded pro-democracy groups." Threatened with a cut-off from US aid, the Egyptian military is expected to abandon their campaign against US "NGOs."

As usual, AP attempts to diminish the veracity of Egypt's concerns with deceptive language and innuendos such as, "Egypt, which regularly blames anti-military protests on foreign meddling," and "in an indication that authorities will continue to push the line that foreigners are stirring up trouble." Of course it is not a "line" that the Egyptian government is pushing, it is a well documented fact.

Images: From Tunis and Tahrir Square to the Oval Office shaking hands with the US President and receiving the NED 2011 "Democracy Award," the forces behind the "Arab Spring" not only weren't spontaneous nor indigenous, but they most certainly were orchestrated, funded, directed, and finally celebrated and well-rewarded by the US State Department through their National Endowment for Democracy. Egypt's crackdown on these disingenuous NGOs is long overdue and an example for all nations to follow.

AP goes on to explain the plight of the International Republican Institute (IRI) Egypt office-head, Sam LaHood, son of US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, who is now on trail amongst 16 American "civil society employees." They are charged with using US State Department funds to fuel unrest throughout Egypt.

Despite the feigned skepticism of AP, there is conclusive evidence that from 2008, the US State Department had begun a concerted effort to recruit, train, equip, fund, and in some cases arm, dissidents not only from Egypt, but from Tunisia, Libya, Syria, Iran, Russia, Belarus, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand, and even North Korea. This was accomplished not only through the US State Department, but through a myriad of subsidiaries starting with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and including LaHood's IRI.

Far from Egyptian Paranoia - Documented US Meddling in Egypt

In January of 2011, we were told that "spontaneous," "indigenous"uprising had begun sweeping North Africa and the Middle East, including Hosni Mubarak's Egypt, in what was hailed as the "Arab Spring." It would be almost four months before the corporate-media would admit that the US had been behind the uprisings and that they were anything but "spontaneous," or "indigenous." In an April 2011 article published by the New York Times titled, "U.S. Groups Helped Nurture Arab Uprisings," it was stated (emphasis added):

"A number of the groups and individuals directly involved in the revolts and reforms sweeping the region, including the April 6 Youth Movement in Egypt, the Bahrain Center for Human Rights and grass-roots activists like Entsar Qadhi, a youth leader in Yemen, received training and financing from groups like the International Republican Institute, the National Democratic Institute and Freedom House, a nonprofit human rights organization based in Washington."

The article would also add, regarding the US National Endowment for Democracy (NED):

"The Republican and Democratic institutes are loosely affiliated with the Republican and Democratic Parties. They were created by Congress and are financed through the National Endowment for Democracy, which was set up in 1983 to channel grants for promoting democracy in developing nations. The National Endowment receives about $100 million annually from Congress. Freedom House also gets the bulk of its money from the American government, mainly from the State Department. "

It is hardly a speculative theory then, that the uprisings were part of an immense geopolitical campaign conceived in the West and carried out through its proxies with the assistance of disingenuous organizations including NED, NDI, LaHood's IRI, and Freedom House and the stable of NGOs they maintain throughout the world. Preparations for the "Arab Spring" began not as unrest had already begun, but years before the first "fist" was raised, and within seminar rooms in D.C. and New York, US-funded training facilities in Serbia, and camps held in neighboring countries, not within the Arab World itself.

In 2008, Egyptian activists from the now infamous April 6 movement were in New York City for the inaugural Alliance of Youth Movements (AYM) summit, also known as Movements.org. There, they received training, networking opportunities, and support from AYM's various corporate and US governmental sponsors, including the US State Department itself. The AYM 2008 summit report (page 3 of .pdf) states that the Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, James Glassman attended, as did Jared Cohen who sits on the policy planning staff of the Office of the Secretary of State. Six other State Department staff members and advisers would also attend the summit along with an immense list of corporate, media, and institutional representatives.

Shortly afterward, April 6 would travel to Serbia to train under US-funded CANVAS, formally the US-funded NGO "Otpor" who helped overthrow the government of Serbia in 2000. Otpor, the New York Times would report, was a "well-oiled movement backed by several million dollars from the United States." After its success it would change its name to CANVAS and begin training activists to be used in other US-backed regime change operations.

The April 6 Movement, after training with CANVAS, would return to Egypt in 2010, a full year before the "Arab Spring," along with UN IAEA Chief Mohammed ElBaradei. April 6 members would even be arrested while waiting for ElBaradei's arrival at Cairo's airport in mid-February. Already, ElBaradei, as early as 2010, announced his intentions of running for president in the 2011 elections. Together with April 6, Wael Ghonim of Google, and a coalition of other opposition parties, ElBaradei assembled his "National Front for Change" and began preparing for the coming "Arab Spring."

Quite clearly, it is not a "line" that the Egyptian government is "pushing" in regards to so-called "civil society employees," rather it is a verified, documented fact that these "employees" are conducting espionage and political destabilization under the increasingly tenuous guise of "democracy promotion."

An April 2011 AFP report would confirm that the US government had trained armies of "activists" to return to their respective countries and enact political "change," when US State Department's Michael Posner stated that the "US government has budgeted $50 million in the last two years to develop new technologies to help activists protect themselves from arrest and prosecution by authoritarian governments." The report went on to explain that the US "organized training sessions for 5,000 activists in different parts of the world. A session held in the Middle East about six weeks ago gathered activists from Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon who returned to their countries with the aim of training their colleagues there." Posner would add, "They went back and there's a ripple effect."

That ripple effect of course, was the "Arab Spring" and the subsequent destabilization, violence, and even US armed and backed warfare that followed. While nations like Libya and Tunisia are now run by a BP, Shell, and Total-funded Petroleum Institute chairman and a US NED-funded "activist" respectively, Egypt has managed to ward off and expose the US proxy of choice, Mohammed ElBaradei, who's own movement was forced to denounce him as a Western agent.

By striking at the meddling, seditious NGOs, Egypt seeks to undermine the source of destabilization, the conduit through which US money and support is funneled through to "activists," and expose the true foreign-funded nature of the political division that has gripped the nation for now over a year.

The AP article reports that Egypt's generals have stated, "we face conspiracies hatched against the homeland, whose goal is to undermine the institutions of the Egyptian state and whose aim is to topple the state itself so that chaos reigns and destruction spreads." Clearly, this an accurate observation, not a political ploy, with similar US-hatched conspiracies documented and exposed from Tunisia all the way to Thailand.

Stepping Back from the Brink

Egyptians must step back and examine the obvious fraud behind their "Arab Spring" revolution, as well as ensure that this nationalist streak by the Egyptian military is genuine. All sides presuming ownership over Egypt's destiny must exhibit through policy, programs, and action that they will be serving the Egyptian people, not opening doors to US free trade, bending to the will of Wall Street and London's military ambitions throughout the region, or lending credibility to the West's contrived international institutions.

Egypt's military has made a promising first step by exposing and prosecuting foreign-funded sedition in their country, helping strip the deceitful veneer off of Western NGOs that have long operated with impunity under the cloak of humanitarian concern. Another step could be by showing support for Syria's besieged government, facing similar foreign-funded destabilization and now foreign-funded terrorists vying to overthrow yet another Arab nation and installing a Western proxy regime.

For those in the streets of Egypt who genuinely seek better lives, they would be best served by exposing the foreign-funded frauds amongst them seeking to exploit the well-intentioned, and then developing a program of pragmatism rather than one of politics. Those merely calling for first Mubarak, and now the military to step down and make way for clearly US-backed proxies like ElBaradei and the MI6-creation, the Muslim Brotherhood, are only paving the way for another oppressive regime to lord over them well into the foreseeable future. The Turkish envoy's visit to Washington comes during a particularly bright period in American-Turkish relations, with the U.S. and Turkey working closely on Syria, the Arab spring, Afghanistan, Iraq, and beyond. Davutoglu also alluded to recent consultations between himself, Iranian officials and unspecified western interlocutors over a possible updated confidence building measure regarding Iran's nuclear program. IAEA: “Iran is a ‘peace-seeking’ state”

It seems, the secretary-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the nuclear ‘Watchdog’ has turned into an Israel-hater. On Friday, Yukiya Amano accompanied by his deputy director-general Herman Nackaerts attended the 33rd birthday party of 1979 victory of Islamic Revolution at Iran’s embassy in Vienna (Austria). At the event, Amano hailed Islamic Iran as a “peace-seeking” state.

Some US-Iran observers consider participation of two top IAEA officials in the party and Amano’s praise of Iran as a slap on USrael face for lying about Tehran’s nuclear program. A welknown Jewish columnist, M.J. Rosenberg, a former director of policy at Israel Policy Forum, wrote that powerful Israel Lobby (AIPAC) is pushing Barack Obama to attack Iran immediately or let the Zionist regime do it. The later scenario is bound to pull America into war on Israel’s side within a few days once Iran, Hizbullah and Hamas retaliate.

Yukiya Amano is no friend of Islamic Republic or any Muslim state which is not ‘friendly’ to Israel for that matter. The 2009 US diplomatic cable released by the Wikileaks, says that though Yukiya Amano works for all world nations, he serves only the US imperialist agenda especially in case of the Islamic Republic.

Last year, Former IAEA director-general, Mohamed ElBaradei, the Nobel Peace Prize recipient who spent 12 years at the IAEA, told the US Jewish investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, “I have not seen a shred of evidence that Iran is building nuclear-weapons facilities and using enriched materials“.
On June 9, 2011 – six former ambassadors to Iran, Richard Dalton (US), Paul von Maltzahn (Germany), Steen Hohwü-Christensen (Sweden), Guillaume Metten (Belgium), François Nicoullaud (France) and Roberto Toscano (Italy) wrote in daily Guardian – confirming that there is no evidence Islamic Republic is building a nuclear bomb and that Tehran is complying with international law.
On January 9, 2012 the IAEA Watchdog agency’s spokesperson, Gill Tudor confirmed that Iran’s underground enrichment facility near Qom remains under the Agency’s containment and surveillance.
If one follows Washington’s past record in the so-called “rapprochement” with Tehran – he will find that Washington always deceived Tehran. For example, in 1989, George Bush Sr. sought then Iranian President Ayatullah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani’s help to secure the release of western hostages in Lebanon. Washington agreed to unfreeze and return over $14 billion that were held in the US since the fall of its puppet King Reza Shah in Tehran. Tehran also demanded that Washington get some of Lebanese hostages released from Israeli jails. Even against Rahbar Ayatullah Ali Khamenie’s advice – Rafsanjani decided to trust Bush. However, once western hostages in Lebanon were released – Washington neither released Iranian assets nor faciliated release of Lebanese hostages.

After September 11, 2001 – Tehran helped the US to set-up military alliance with the Afghan Northern Alliance to oust Taliban from Kabul, Kandhar and Mazar-e-Sharif. During 2002-2005 period, Tehran cooperated with IAEA – even some of later demands which were against Iran’s rights as a signatory of NPT. However, every time Tehran fulfilled Western demands concerning its nuclear program – under USraeli pressure the IAEA, US and EU countries simply fabricated new set of demands for the benefit of the Zionist entity.

Iran’s ‘moderate’ President Ayatullah Mohammad Khatami made several political and religious overtures to the West, but received no fair response from the US or the EU. Iran also used its influence over Muqtada Sadr and other Shia leaders to cooperate with US occupation authorities in Iraq.
Iranian leadership has reached to the conclusion that as long as the country maintains its policy of supporting resistance groups (both Muslims and Christians) in the Muslim East, Washington cannot afford to have peace with Tehran due to powerful domestic Israel Lobby.

Iran’s Spiritual Leader Ayatullah Ali Khameini has warned successive US governments that Iran will never follow Washington’s dictation being the sole superpower. In his words the only way to resolve US-Iran differences, is to discuss the issues as equal parners. He told George Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama that bullying and sanctions will never force Iranian people to submit to USraeli domination of the Muslim East.

Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya who is in Tehran to attend the 33rd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution – reaffirmed on February 11 that “Palestinian nation will confront and stand against the US and Zionist regime’s threats against Iran“.

Khader Adnan's Heroic Struggle for Justice

Saturday marked his 56th hunger striking day. "My dignity is more precious than food," he said. He's willing to die courageously defending it.

He's protesting his lawless detention and treatment by repressive Israeli prison authorities. They're committing willful, malicious slow-motion murder.

He's uncharged because he's innocent. Yet Israel illegally detains him under horrific conditions. Without food for eight weeks, his life hangs by a thread. He could die before this article's published.

On February 9, a special Military Court appeal on his behalf was held at Safad's Zif medical center where he's held shackled to his bed near death.

For the hearing, he was moved to a separate room still shackled except for his hands. Despite his condition and gross injustice, Judge Moshe Tirosh won't rule until next week. By then it may not matter, and that's the whole idea.

His contemptible excuse was needing more documents to disguise state-sponsored murder.

As a result, expect him to be detained until he dies regardless of innocence and injustice. Arrested Palestinians are guilty whether or not charged. Rarely are detainees freed. Repressive military courts refuse. Israel's Supreme Court seldom intervenes. Repression defines Israeli policy. State terror enforces it.

Adnan symbolizes its ruthlessness. He's willing to die telling the world. Supporters called for worldwide hunger strikes in protest. Online social networks promote it.

A Free Palestine supporter said, "I am a Palestinian living in Qatar. I am in solidarity with captive hero Khader Adnan." Other support came from New York, Chicago, Washington and other US cities, Argentina, Honduras, Canada, England, Mexico, Lebanon, Algeria, South Africa, Slovakia, France, the Czech Republic, Italy, Israel, Palestine, and elsewhere.

Street protesters held signs saying "Dignity over food," waved Palestinian flags, and chanted "Khader Adnan epitomizes the resilience, the steadfastness, and resistance of the Palestinian people."

On February 11, Ma'an News reported that Palestinian Authority prisoners affairs minister Issa Qaraqe said Egypt's intervening to help. How seriously isn't known. Its ruling military junta breaches international humanitarian laws egregiously.

Nonetheless, Qaraqe said Egyptian officials asked Israeli authorities to release Adnan. He added that Palestinian leaders Abbas and Salam Fayyad contacted other countries to help. In support, hundreds of Palestinian detainees plan supportive hunger strikes.

In a letter to prison authorities, they warned the situation may escalate if Adnan dies. So far, UN authorities have done little. UN special coordinator for the Middle East Robert Serry merely said he's following Adnan "with concern."

A weak-kneed statement said his office calls on Israel "to do everything in its power to preserve the health of the prisoner and resolve this case while abiding by all legal obligations under international law."

His office is also "following up on some of the issues related to the question of prisoners, particularly on the use of administrative detention, which should only be employed in exceptional circumstances."

In fact, his office substitutes rhetoric for action. Instead of demanding Adnan's immediately release and condemning Israeli ruthlessness, his faint-hearted weasel words assure no positive response.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) notoriously supports Washington's imperial agenda. As a result, its appeal on behalf of Adnan appears more PR stunt than real. Its Middle East director Sarah Leah Whitson said:

"Israel should immediately end its unlawful administrative detention of Adnan and charge or release him."

Charge him with what? He committed no crime.

Short of stressing it, Whitson added:

"He may be approaching death from his hunger strike, and yet Israel is chaining him to his hospital bed without bothering to even charge him with any wrongdoing."

She urged, but didn't demand, Israel "end, today, before it's too late, its almost two-month-long refusal to inform Adnan of any criminal charge or evidence against him."

A Final Comment

Adnan's a world hero. His death won't go unnoticed. The Addameer Prisoner Support/Human Rights Association said:

"Adameer holds the Israeli Occupying Forces accountable for Khader's life-threatening condition and also the international community responsible for not taking action to save his life."

"Addameer demands that the European Union, the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross intervene with Israel immediately before it is too late. Addameer further hails all local and international solidarity efforts made on Khader's behalf and urges individuals to continue calling attention to this most urgent matter."

Help by contacting your political representatives now, and telling others to do the same thing. Demand they intervene to help. Also write, call, or email Israeli government, military and legal authorities and demand Adnan's immediate release.

The typical Zionist hasbara method of systematic attempt to discredit any genuine Resistance Mass Movement, is brilliantly exposed by Jonathan Azaziah thorough analysis of the case of Uri-Avnery, allegedly a "humanist" and "peace activist". Not surprisingly, the same method and tactics are used by another UK "humanist" and "peace activists". In this case Tony Greenstein takes it upon himself to discredit the Islamic Resistance Mass Movement which was also elected by majority Palestinian into government in 2006.

After a long campaign along with his partisans "Jews for Boycotting Israeli Goods" JBIG, Mr. Greenstein managed recently to insert a sugar coated motion that would act as a diversion of PSC and lead it away from total dedication of supporting the oppressed Palestinians into fighting side battles of ADL and BOD of British Jews type.

Hence they have managed to steer the solidarity movement away from prime aims of marching to help Palestinians in their struggle of Liberation, into getting stuck with fighting alleged "anti-Semitism" and dealing with accusations without proof, endless debates and in-fights that would only weaken, distract and waste valuable time of the movement. Altogether, these amount to dilatory tactics allowing the Zionists to brutally finalize their Jewish national project.

Under the pretext of fighting anti-Semitism and racism, the hijackers aim to obfuscate and cover up any study or scrutiny of Jewish supremacy and racism which was not even mentioned in the motion about racism, presented by JBIG and adopted by PSC.

Under the pretext of fighting racism and anti-Semitism the goal of the hijackers is to block and prevent serious investigation of global Jewish-Zionist networks and organizations in their respective Jewish communities world wide, and their role in supporting, defending and protecting the criminal Zionist entity.

Under the pretext of the uniqueness and exceptionality of Jewish suffering, they aim to justify the need of the perpetual existence of a "state for the Jews", a "homeland for the Jewish people" in Palestine, an "Israel", a "safe-haven" where the "eternally persecuted" Jews can finally call "home", where they can exercise their "sovereign rights" to be a "nation"; be it as it may, an invented one, and be it as it may at the expense of another nation and the almost total extermination and dispossession of another people through wars of conquest and genocide. They call their omnibous solution, a Secular state for ALL its citizens. Hence preparing the ground of the soft, cultural, factual and permanent TAKE OVER of Palestine (early Zionists called that type of soft takeover, Cultural Zionism).

Under the pretext of the uniqueness and exceptionality of Jewish suffering, our detractors want to impose on Palestinians to give up their rights to resist and defend themselves, they want Palestinians to abandon the idea of reinstatement of their stolen land, and to impose on them the acceptance of sharing permanently their land with those who oppressed and dispossessed them for decades, those who have systematically violated, desecrated and destroyed the beloved land of Palestine.

This obfuscation, control, manipulation and exclusion of many activists including Palestinians is nothing but a tool that would only help the finalization of the Zionist project with all its abhorrent criminality, lunacy and cultural supremacy, all while clothing it with a softer -yet no less domineering, no less supremacist, no less ugly face.

The finalization of the Zionist project basically means securing the foreign Jewish-Zionist implant in someone else's land.

Of course the likes of Greenstein and co, would like the world along with PSC members to believe that there is absolutely no Jewish link, and there is absolutely no Jewish connection or dimension in the catastrophe that befell upon Palestine!

Non of the occupiers is Jewish;
Non of the IDF is Jewish;
Non of the settlers is Jewish;
Non of their supporters outside Palestine is Jewish;
Zionism is a not a Jewish movement;
The "promised land" is a not a Jewish concept;
Even "Ha Torah Ha'Melech" Is a Zionist and not a Jewish book.

In the first physical evidence of their participation in the fighting inside Syrian territory, today the Libyan Islamist sites acknowledged the fall of three Libyans fighting in Bab AMR in Homs. It is learned that the dead three were brothers ” Talal Waleed Alfitouri ” and “ Ahmed Walid Alfitouri ”, and the third is their comrade Ahmed Jalal alakori ”

Benghazi channel site and Al-Mukhtar revolution site confirmed this information indicating that three were killed Monday when the Syrian army began military operations in Homs.

The February 17 revolution - Al-awakir youth's site confirmed the killing of Ahmed Galal Al-AMR in Bab Amr, noting that Ahmed and his colleagues went month for "Jihad" in Syria.

Walking along a Moscow street, in 2006, a man picks up a rock and carries it away: nothing about that is suspicious in itself, now is it? Except that the rock was fake, a hollowed out simulation that contained electronic equipment: it was the equivalent of a “drop box” in which Russian agents of British intelligence were able to download information from a hand-held device – likely a mobile phone — and provide it to their British handlers operating out of Her Majesty’s Embassy. One of the individuals secretly filmed by the Russian security bureau retrieving messages was the British official responsible for making disbursements to Russian “human rights” organizations. When the Russians examined the contents of the fake rock, they found it contained information on illegal payments made to Russian individuals working for “human rights” NGOs. Although the Brits denied it at the time, Jonathan Powell, a former chief of staff to British Prime Minister Tony Blair, admitted to the scheme in a recent four-part BBC series on Putin’s Russia.

The admission came at an inconvenient time: during Russia’s tumultuous presidential election, in which the Russian opposition was accusing Vladimir Putin of stealing the vote, and Putin, in turn, was characterizing the opposition as paid tools of Washington. The Americans did nothing to disabuse Russians of this charge: indeed, when the new US Ambassador to the Kremlin, Michael McFaul, arrived in Moscow, he met with leaders of the Russian opposition on his second day in town. As Eric Kraus, a Moscow-based fund manager, put it:

“One should first ask what the reaction would have been in the United States if the British ambassador to Washington began his mandate by throwing an open house for ‘Occupy Wall Street’ – it would have been considered a hostile act. Why is Russia any different? Russia is a sovereign state, not a protectorate, and the job of any ambassador is to facilitate state-to-state relations, not to become a player in domestic politics.”

But of course the US is indeed involved in the domestic politics of practically every nation on earth, and it even has an official agency in charge of such meddling. The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is a “public-private” institution that receives direct grants of US tax dollars, which it then funnels abroad via its four main constituent parts: the National Democratic Institute (NDI), affiliated with the Democratic party, the International Republican Institute (IRI), a division of the GOP, the American Center for International Labor Solidarity (ACILS), sponsored and partially funded by the AFL-CIO, and the Center for International Private Enterprise, affiliated with the US Chamber of Commerce. Founded in 1984, NED played a key role in undermining the Nicaraguan government at a time when the US government was illegally funding the so-called “contras,” who were carrying out a terrorist campaign against the authorities in Managua.

In 1985, it was revealed the NED had been financing two groups in France, of all places: the National Inter-University Union (UNI), and Force Ouvriere (FO), a labor organization. UNI was an offshoot of the Service for Civic Action, an extremist right-wing terrorist group that had killed several people in the south of France and engaged in drug smuggling. UNI scored $575,000 from NED. FO was in a pitched battle with left-wing unions for supremacy in the French labor movement, and the US funding via NED – to the tune of $830,000 – was seen as an attempt to undermine Francois Mitterand’s socialist government.

In 1989, when Nicaragua’s Sandinista government was being challenged by the opposition — led by newspaper publisher Violeta Chamorro, and her United Nicaraguan Opposition (UNO) — Congress passed a $9 million appropriation for the NED to get involved in the Nicaraguan election. It passed with one restriction, however: none of the money was to be used to help one particular party. In reality, however, almost all the funding went to the UNO. In tandem with the flood of millions of dollars into the opposition, the US unleashed the contras, inflicting unprecedented violence on civilians and wrecking the economy.

The Endowment has been a vital instrument in the deployment of “soft power” to further US interests, acting as a conduit for funding the “color revolutions” that were sparked by US-funded activists in Serbia, Ukraine, Georgia, and the former Soviet republics of Central Asia. It is, in short, a weapon in the US arsenal designed to effect “regime change” in countries deemed insufficiently enthusiastic about becoming – or staying – a US protectorate.

Although the “Arab Spring” looks to have taken the US by surprise, Washington moved quickly – via the NED and USAID – to coopt the movement. It appears, though, that the Egyptian government – which has just elected a majority Muslim Brotherhood parliament – is having none of it: Cairo recently put NED activists, including the son of the US Secretary of Transportation, on a “no fly” list, and announced it will prosecute a number of individuals, including 19 Americans, for engaging in illegal activities. Washington is outraged, and its amen corner is already mobilizing in support of the “Cairo 19.”

Egypt, like the US, has strict controls on foreign interference in its internal politics: foreign-funded organizations must register with the government, and give a complete accounting of their activities. The US has even stricter controls: foreign contributions to electoral activities on American soil are forbidden by US law, and, in addition, groups receiving funding from foreign governments must register as foreign agents. The penalty for violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) is five years in prison and a $10,000 fine – roughly equivalent (except for the fine) to the penalty faced by the “Cairo 19.”

Neither IRI nor NDI ever registered with the authorities in Egypt: the claim is that they didn’t do so because “the laws required licenses that were almost never granted” and “exerted government control over foreign contributions.” Of course, the New York Times reporter who wrote this neglected to inform his readers that the US absolutely bans any foreign intervention in the electoral process on its own soil. That’s the Americans’ signature stance in the world: one standard for me, and another for thee….

It’s hard to believe anyone with the least bit of objectivity would blame the Egyptians for reacting to interference in their politics the way they have, but Harper’s Scott Horton has stepped into the breach with a polemic that is as unconvincing as it is arrogant.

Horton blames the Muslim Brotherhood for “coddling the military,” and seeking to cement its power by refusing to investigate corruption in the barracks. He writes that the Brotherhood’s pact with the military brought on the prosecution:

“Under attack are the National Democratic Institute and the International Republican Institute — two venerable, congressionally funded organizations linked to America’s two political parties, each with a solid record of accomplishment in the global struggle for democracy.”

From funding the French extreme right to overthrowing the Sandinistas by means of terrorism – that’s a “solid record of accomplishment,” alright, except it has nothing to do with “the global struggle for democracy” and everything to do with advancing Washington’s global ambitions. For Horton, naturally, there is no difference between these two goals – but the inhabitants of the countries whose politics we are meddling in may see it differently.

While speculating the Egyptians could actually “believe that organizations dedicated to promoting democracy are actually working to overthrow the Egyptian state in the interests of some foreign power,” he dismisses this out of hand because “placing the blame for domestic problems on the unseen hand of a foreign foe is an ancient and sometimes effective strategy for a government in extremis.”

Given the NED’s long record of manipulating the internal politics of nations we’ve targeted for “regime change,” is it really all that unreasonable for the Egyptians to suspect something is amiss? Oh, but no, according to Horton:

“Whether they occur in Egypt, Turkey, Russia, Hungary, or Israel, attacks on NGOs, especially those focused on democracy advocacy and human rights, are the hallmark of illiberalism. In Egypt, they demonstrate how the revolution has run off course. And they show the country’s deep-seated suspicion of the United States. The Obama Administration is right to treat these developments with alarm. So should the Egyptians still protesting at Tahrir Square.”

If it’s “illiberal” to resent and oppose foreign interference in domestic politics, then one looks forward to Horton’s call for the abolition of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, and similar legislation.

Apart from that, however, a far more important point is Horton’s definition of illiberalism as a refusal to allow such interference: implicit here is the idea that the US government is the agency of a “liberal” ideology which it is duty bound to export abroad. Washington, in this view, is the embodiment of “liberalism,” just as Moscow embodied Leninism in the cold war era. To oppose the activities of the NED and its international affiliates is “illiberal” in the same sense opposing Communist subversion in, say, the Americas, was considered “reactionary” by the Kremlin and its American apologists. The NED is the American version of the old Third International: the obedient instrument of US foreign policy. To question its right to intervene anywhere is to align oneself with the forces of darkness.

Horton’s full-throated defense of the “Cairo 19,” whom he portrays as the defenders of “democracy” and secularism in Egypt, drops the context in which the NED and the US government are operating in the region. He forgets or doesn’t care to remember an awful lot.
In response to the 9/11 attacks, the US embarked on a military and political campaign to “transform” the “swamp” of the Muslim world, starting in Afghanistan and Iraq, and ending in Iran. On the occasion of the NED’s twentieth anniversary, President George W. Bush proclaimed the US was launching a “global democratic revolution” – and there was no doubt its main target was the Middle East. Gen. Wesley Clark related in an interview with Amy Goodman how, ten days after 9/11, a top General revealed to him how the decision to invade Iraq was made bereft of any link to al-Qaeda. Coming back to his informant a few weeks later, Clark said:

“’Are we still going to war with Iraq?’ And the General said ‘Oh, its worse than that.’ He reached over on his desk and picked up a piece of paper. He said, ‘I just got this … from upstairs from the Secretary of Defense’s office today. This is a memo that describes how we are going to take out 7 countries in 5 years. Starting with Iraq, then Syria and Lebanon. Then Libya, Somalia and Sudan. Then finishing off Iran.’”

It’s taken them more than five years, but clearly they’ve made considerable progress so far: Iraq is in the bag, so is Libya, and Sudan has been successfully split in two. As for Somalia, it’s the latest “front” in our endless “war on terrorism,” and we’re gearing up for the Big One: Iran. Once Tehran falls, can Lebanon be far behind?

Egypt figures prominently in all this: it is “the prize,” as neocon theoretician and former LaRouchie Laurent Murawiec put it in an infamous presentation to the Defense Policy Board, in which he and his fellow neocons pushed not only the invasion of Iraq but also a US takeover of the Saudi oil fields and – eventually — “regime change” in Egypt. As Murawiec put it in his remarks to the assembled policymakers, including Richard Perle, Hosni Mubarak’s Egypt – “the fulcrum of the Arab world” — had become “a Malthusian basket case” due to the dictator’s mismanagement:

“The result is an explosive mix. Traditional Moslems and modernist Arabs have been marginalized, hounded out of the public scene, while the virulent press endlessly incites hatred and violence against Israel and the U.S. Fifteen of the nineteen hijackers of 9/11 were Saudis, the remainder were Egyptians.

“… Why not let Mubarak crack down on the Islamists once we have terminated their power elsewhere, and benightedly allow him to stay in power without policies being changed—isn’t he our friend after all? That would be a sure recipe for disaster. The pivot of the Arab world is the most important one to transform in depth. Iraq may be described as the tactical pivot, the point of entry; Saudi Arabia as the strategic pivot; but Egypt, with its mass, its history, its prestige and its potential, is where the future of the Arab world will be decided. Egypt, then, in the new Middle Eastern environment created by our war, can start being reshaped.

“From our standpoint, though, Egypt has to come up at a later stage of the strategic course presented here: it cannot and should not be tackled prior to the fall of Saddam, the cracking of Syria and Hezbollah, and the abasement of the Saudis. It will become possible to tackle the essential issue—that of a useless, dysfunctional tyranny—once the above have been successfully carried out.”
Given the course of our rampage across much of the Middle East to date, is it any wonder Egyptians are suspicious that their turn has come? To add insult to injury, we’re now threatening to withhold the substantial amount we send over there in “foreign aid,” including military assistance. The Egyptians have stuck to their guns, however, and insist they will go through with the prosecution, perhaps because, as thisNew York Times piece on the controversy opined: “But for Washington, revoking the aid would risk severing the tie that for three decades has bound the United States, Egypt and Israel in an uneasy alliance that is the cornerstone of the American-backed regional order.”

That “cornerstone” is now cracked beyond repair, and the US is frantically trying to cement it together: that the NED’s Egyptian operation is being wielded in pursuit of that goal is undeniable. Whether these same US-funded “activists” would be utilized to effect regime-change is a question the Egyptians have a right to ask.

Horton makes his appeal to the protesters of Tahrir Square, and yet those same protesters, as much as many are for democracy, secularism, and modernity, are also fiercely nationalistic – and no friends of our “cornerstone” foreign policy in the region.

Again and again, US policymakers and commentators have underestimated – and misunderstood – the powerful wave of protest that has toppled regimes from Tunisia to Yemen. It isn’t an ideological drive for “democracy,” as such, or one motivated by the economic downturn, although these factors are surely present: what the “Arab Spring” represents is an upsurge of radical nationalism, similar to the pan-Arabism unleashed by Gamal Abdel Nasser in the Egyptian revolution of 1952. In each and every instance, the target of the crowds in the streets has been a regime sporting the West’s imprimatur. Even Gadhafi had finally made his peace with those he once denounced as “imperialists,” and gained a degree of legitimacy in Western circles.

The Arab world has essentially been under occupation by the West since the fall of the Ottomans in the aftermath of World War I. The “anti-colonial” revolutions of the 1950s and 1960s ended in the consolidation of sclerotic regimes that oppressed their own people and – as the cold war petered out – wound up in the Western orbit. Indeed, as Mubarak and Gadhafi prepared their sons to succeed them, these regimes became indistinguishable from the monarchies traditionally backed by Washington and London.

US attempts to hijack and manipulate this nationalist tidal wave, beside being futile, are likely to result in a serious case of “blowback” – unintended and highly unfortunate consequences that will reduce our influence and in the region and provoke an anti-American backlash. We are, in short, playing with fire – and no one should be surprised that, in Egypt and elsewhere, we are being burned.

By the way, before we elevate Sam Lahood, son of US Labor Secretary and former GOP congressman Ray Lahood, to the status of a martyr for “democracy” and “liberalism,” let’s note that his former gig was serving as a censor for the US Occupation Authority in Iraq. Putting him and his fellow “democracy-promoters” on trial is the Egyptians’ way of ensuring he never takes up similar duties in Egypt.

Lebanese army sponsored on Saturday a ceasefire between Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen, hours after fierce clashes killed and injured many.

The army forces were deployed on Saturday. Later, it sponsored a ceasefire between the two sides, al-Manar corresondent said.

The ceasefire was supposed to start at 4:00 pm. However our correspondent reported at around 4:20 that till that time bombs and shootings were still heard.

"At least 14 soldiers are injured, some are seriously", Fadi Mansour, al-Manar Correspondent said.

The army leadership stated that it has taken a decision to “firmly confront all who destabilize the security of the North regardless of their affiliations”.

Fierce clashes in the northern city killed two people and injured 18 others.

A Lebanese security official said that the dead were one of Bab al Tabbaneh and one of Jabal Mohsen.
“18 people were (also) wounded in clashes that continued since Friday between people from the neighborhoods of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tebbaneh”, the official said.

Shooting broke out on Friday as gunmen deployed heavily in the two neighborhoods.
The two sides were firing guns and rocket-propelled grenades at each other in the clashes.

NATO's Secret War on Syria

In January, Michel Chossudovsky reported British media confirming UK/CIA/MI6 operatives in Syria training anti-Assad Western-backed insurgents. They're also supplying them with arms, ammunition, and equipment.

"These reports confirm unequivocally (they're illegally) interfer(ing) in the affairs of a sovereign state. This is not a popular uprising. The insurrection as well as the killings of civilians were sponsored by the Western powers from the outset."

More on this below. Events replicate the Libya model a year earlier.

In February 2011, US/UK/French special forces and intelligence operatives actively began helping anti-Gaddafi NATO-backed militants. An armed insurgency followed, including bombing weeks later.

A year later, BBC confirmed it, saying:

"....British special forces were deployed on the ground in order to help the UK'S allies - the Libyan 'revolutionaries' often called the National Transitional Council or NTC."

Knowledgeable sources said "they did a tremendous job" conquering Libya. "The existence of E Squadron is well known within the special forces community but has not hitherto been discussed publicly. It was formed five years ago to work closely with the intelligence service MI6, and is mainly involved in missions where maximum discretion is required, say Whitehall insiders."

Composed of SAS, SBS, and Special Reconnaissance Regiment forces, it "often operates in plain clothes and with the full range of national support, such as false identities, at its disposal."

Last March, other British media provided similar accounts. The London Daily Mail, said "hundreds of British special forces troops have been deployed deep inside Libya targeting Colonel Gaddafi's forces - and more are on standby."

"It is understood that just under 250 UK special forces soldiers have been in Libya since before the launch of air strikes to enforce the no-fly zone against Gaddafi's forces."

Another hundred or more were on standby. They were comprised of Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) paratroupers drawn from the SAS (Special Air Service) and SBS (Special Boat Service). They were resupplied from Cyprus. Moreover, 800 Royal Marines were "on five days notice" to deploy to the Mediterranean.

Last March, six squadron members were caught red-handed. Dropped in by helicopter, they were dressed in black, well-armed with weapons, explosives, maps and false passports. Britain claimed they arrived to protect diplomats and monitor events in Benghazi, not military operations.

An official Ministry of Defense statement said, "We neither confirm nor deny the story and we do not comment on the special forces."

The Libyan model's being replicated in Syria, so far short of bombing. Expect it if current tactics don't achieve regime change.

On February 9, Russia Today (RT.com) reported:

"British and Qatari troops are directing rebel ammunition deliveries and tactics in the bloody battle for Homs," according to the Mossad-connected DEBKAfile.

On February 8, it reported:

UK and Qatari "special operations units are operating with rebel forces under cover in (Homs), according to DEBKAfile's exclusive military and intelligence sources."

Allegedly not engaged in fighting, they're tactically aiding and abetting foreign insurgents illegally against a sovereign government.

DEBKAfile reported an Ankara plan to send Turkish/Arab forces to Homs and other "flashpoint cities." Earlier, Assad said full-scale war would confront Turkish or other forces if they invade.

On February 8, Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu visited Washington for help. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan's enlisting support from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states. Anti-Assad pressure's building.

Qatar's ruling Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, openly admitted supporting insurgents with cash, weapons and munitions. In mid-January, he said he's ready to send troops.

On February 8, London Daily Mail writer Tim Shipman headlined, "Britain will help Syrian rebels says (PM) Cameron as Assad army bombs continue to rain down on Homs," saying:

Details of "a three point plan to force" out Assad "were signed off yesterday" at a National Security Council meeting.

According to a Whitehall security source:

"The training is taking place on a one to one basis with opposition leaders outside Syria." No further information about direct intervention was supplied.

On February 10, Daily Mail writer Lee Moran quoted a US State Department source saying the Pentagon's considering arming insurgents. Earlier, Obama said no "option(s are) off the table."

On February 8, London Telegraph writer Alex Spillius headlined, "International 'militarisation' in Syria growing closer, warns US official," saying:

Washington debate shifted from diplomacy "towards more robust action since Russia and China blocked" Security Council action. "Any plan to supply aid or set up a buffer zone would involve a military dimension to protect aid convoys or vulnerable civilians."

"The Pentagon Central Command has begun a preliminary internal review of US military capabilities in the region" to provide options if ordered. An unnamed senior US official said "increasingly it looks like (military intervention) may not be avoidable."

If initiated, regional allies will be involved, including Turkey, Gulf states, and perhaps Israel. Last August, Ria Novosti headlined, "NATO plans campaign in Syria, tightens noose around Iran - Rogozin," saying:

Russia's NATO envoy Dmitry Rogozin said NATO's planning to oust Assad and establish a beachhead for attacking Iran. Izvestia quoted him saying:

Planning for a military campaign "is well underway. It could be a logical conclusion of those military and propaganda operations, which have been carried out by certain Western countries against North Africa."

Rogozin added that NATO plans intervening only against those regimes "whose views do not coincide with those of the West." As a result, he envisioned a possible "large-scale war in this huge region."

Military intervention now seems likely. Expect regional proxies to be used. Air power support may follow. UK, Qatari, and perhaps other Western elements inside Syria represent initial steps toward what appears planned.

A Final Comment

The business of America is permanent wars for unchallengeable wealth, power, and dominance, while homeland needs go begging.

Obama's a war profiteer front man. He plans them while talking peace. Ravaging Afghanistan continues. Thousands of US troops remain in Iraq. Others were repositioned nearby. Increased numbers were added to establish a larger regional footprint, combining air, ground, and naval units for future combat operations.

Syria's target one, then Iran. Whether full-scale war's planned isn't clear.

However, proxy operations may develop that way whether or not intended.

Washington wants total regional dominance. Nothing's off the table to achieve it.

Egypt: ‘US Zionist group caught with pants down’

Egypt plans to try 19 members of the US-based National Democratic Institute (NDI), North African region, for interference in Egypt’s internal affairs. US State Department funded NDI has rejected the accusation that its staff is working to fulfill US-Israel agenda in the Muslim African countries.

The offices of several local and international NGOs including Freedom House and the International Republican Institute (IRI) were raided in December by Egyptian authorities as part of a probe into alleged illegal funding.

Senator John Kerry, a Crypto-Jew, has warned Cairo, calling the arrests “a slap on the face” for America. Israel-Firster Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S. Carolina) has warned Cairo that Egypt will lose $1.3 billion military aid if those Americans end up in jail. Zionist Jew Senator Ben Cardin (R-Maryland), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said Monday that Washington should “re-evaluate” the bilateral relationship, adding that it was “totally unacceptable” for Egypt to prosecute the activists on charges of illegal funding of aid groups.

The National Democratic Institute (NDI) West Africa - is headed by Ms Barrie Freeman who denies that NDI has a hidden agenda.

However, according to Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), Ms Barrie Freeman is lying from both sides of her Zionist body. Ron in an article published on October 11, 2003, said:

“The misnamed National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is nothing more than a costly program that takes US taxpayer funds to promote favored politicians and political parties abroad. What the NED does in foreign countries, through its recipient organizations the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI), would be rightly illegal in theUnited States. The NED injects “soft money” into the domestic elections of foreign countries in favor of one party or the other. Imagine what a couple of hundred thousand dollars will do to assist a politician or political party in a relatively poor country abroad. It is particularly Orwellian to call US manipulation of foreign elections “promoting democracy.” How would Americans feel if the Chinese arrived with millions of dollars to support certain candidates deemed friendly to China? Would this be viewed as a democratic development?”.

So whose agenda the NDI staff could be pursuing other that the Zionist entity, which is scared to death with the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

Egyptian Judge Sameh Abu Zeid said in Cairo that the NGOs are operating “without license,” and that their work “constitutes pure political activity and has nothing to do with civil society work.”

If convicted, the members of these organizations could be sentenced to five years in prison, according to another judge, Ashraf Ashmawi.

US NGO Workers Indicted For Plotting To Overthrow Egypt

Egypt sends the U.S. an official indictment of over 100 pages charging arrested NGO workers with illegally funneling funds to rig elections, incite unrest, and overthrow the government.

Egyptian news sources (see below) are reporting that the U.S. has been handed an official 100 page indictment outline the charges against American NGO workers being detained in Egypt. U.S. officials say they are in the process of reviewing the document but are having problems with the translation. U.S. media sources continue to report the detained NGO workers as simple civilians working without a permit. Egyptian media tells a different story, saying the detainees are in fact of part of complex of organizations planning to seize control of the Egypt.
The Egypt accuses splinter organizations of both the U.S. Republican and Democrat parties, and other organizations, of illegally funneling money into Egypt. The indictment charges the organizations first used the funneled promote U.S. political candidates and then attempted to manipulate the Egyptian elections to get those candidates elected.
Egypt goes on to state that when that planned failed, and the U.S. candidates were not elected the organizations used the funneled money to plan and organize protests at which the organizations would incite violence and other civil unrest in order to cause riots and destabilize the region to overthrow the government.
All of this of course has been revealed by U.S. media sources already, but it is hard to get the complete picture as outlined in the indictment because every story is packed full of opinions and comments defending the work of the organizations instead of detailing the facts.
To be clear, it is illegal for for organizations to conduct in political activities in Egypt. These organizations were operating under the front of doing community based civil work. Further they were working without permits, which is also illegal, and without work visas to avoid detection. They were also bringing foreign (U.S) money into Egypt with out a permit to so and then using those funds in a manner illegal in Egypt.
At first you may be taken back by the through of the Republican party and the Democratic party trying to ferment civil unrest and incite riots. However, trying keeping The Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street movements in mind while trying to answer the question “What the hell else are our politicians doing in Washington besides trying to ferment civil unrest and spark a revolution?” They sure in the hell aren’t trying to placate the masses.
In case this is all too conspiratorial to you, check out his Guide to the Revolution in Egypt, disseminated by the media for PRIOR to the Protests. I came across this on a blog of a Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia fellow who specializes in “Crisis Mapping” and runs the iRevolution blog:

The above 26-page how-to guide circulated in both hard- and electronic-copy
~~during~~ [before] the first wave of protests in Egypt. The document was translated into English by The Atlantic and outlines a number of critical points central to civil resistance, including very specific demands on the Mubarak regime; concrete goals for the popular resistance and tactical steps to achieve these stated goals. The guide also provided tips on what protection gear to wear and how to engage the police with the use of spray paint.
Ahmed Salah, one of the co-founders of the April 6th movement, later recounted how they mobilized protesters:

Starting in the alleys was not a random decision. It makes tactical and strategic sense regardless of the technology used to coordinate this. Starting small and away from the main protests is a safe way to pool protesters together. It’s also about creating an iterative approach to a “strength in numbers” dynamic. As more people crowd the smaller the streets, this gives a sense of momentum and confidence. Starting in alley ways localizes the initiative. People are likely neighbors and join because they see their friend or sister out in the street. This tactic figured as a drawing in the 26-page guide:

The guide also stressed the need to remain peaceful and not engage in sabotage. The discipline of remaining non-violent is instrumental in civil resistance. Engaging in violence provides government forces with the excuse they’re looking for to clamp down on protesters and delegitimize them in a public way. The guide also recommends that activists try to win over the police and army instead of attacking them. The protesters behind this guide were clearly well trained and knew what they were doing. They even provided several Google Earth screen shots of different parts of the city to recommend tactical moves:

Activists thus took deliberate and informed actions and used technology to synchronize those actions. How did the popular movement become this sophisticated? Young Egyptians had lots of practice. From the Kefeya movement of 2004, the elections of 2005 (and 2010), the April 6 movement of 2008 and the Khaled Said campaign of 2010. They learned from each confrontation and adapted their tactics and strategies accordingly. They reached out to others such as Otpor in Serbia for training and guidance. The Serbs met with Egyptian groups and ”shared their own hard-won experience, as well as fundamental lessons of popular nonviolent resistance,” according to this article in The Atlantic. And they took inspiration from the writings of Gene Sharp.

There are three magic words you need to remember if you want to be a success at real estate sales, and those words are: location, location, location. And the same can largely be said for colonial land-grabs: it’s location, location, location. But as criminally inclined as real estate agents are, to succeed at colonialism you are going to need some serious juju, that far surpasses the nefarious personality traits of the real estate professional. America, Britain, and world Jewry received substantial profits on the backs of millions of mass-murdered victims of the Bolshevik’s socialist miracle. While communist Jews benefited as much as the other non-Jewish Bolshevik leaders, by riding the people like mules, Jews and Gentiles from America and Britain profited by selling machinery and industrial equipment to the Soviets. The mines of Kolyma were worked with American trucks and bulldozers. American industrialists profited handsomely from the three million people who met their ends in the mass-graves of the Kolyma gold fields. American Jeeps and trucks were to be found throughout Russia, as were British and American industrial goods. Both countries were able to make a profit from the hell-on-Earth that the Bolsheviks created.

American and British manufacturers also figured quite profitably in the Nazi regime, and were involved in the creation of the Nazi industries that were the death of an unknown amount of concentration camp slaves. They were given technologies, financial assistance, machinery and armaments by both Jews and Gentiles who worked together to profit from the Nazi war machine. Zionists Jews even assisted the Nazis, while knowing full-well that Jews were being killed in the camps. In fact, members of the American Bush family had assets seized and were ordered by Congress to stop doing business with the Nazis, or face prison for their treasonous business dealings.

Coca Cola Colonialism has always been a cooperative effort between Jews and Gentiles. While Coca Cola Colonialism originates from the power centers of the American business and military industrial complex, there is no way it can be considered anything but a Jewish and Gentile endeavor. Coca Cola Colonialism is also assisted by many of the worlds Governments; such as Britain, and a long list of despots who are always ready for a slice of the colonial pie. The rivers of money that flow as profits from mass-murdering Arabs is also staggering in its amount, as hundreds of billions in profits were made in the process of mass-murdering Iraqis and destroying their nation. And you can expect hundreds of billions to be made if the military industrial/Wall Street complex get their way, and wage war on Iran.

Matzah Ball Colonialism, though it has a Jewish face, is also a genocidal colonial endeavor that offers enormous cash streams, and is of extreme value to the same old suspects who comprise the criminal element of Coca Cola Colonialism. Most of the armaments used by the Matzah Ball Colonialists in mass-murdering Arabs, profit the American military industrial/Wall Street complex. The bulldozers used during ethnic cleansing, to demolish the homes of the native Palestinian people, and create Jew only roads, are of American manufacture. The huge tractor trailer rigs that haul the 40 foot tall cement concentration camp enclosures that surround the West Bank and Gaza are of American Manufacture, and the list goes on. Matzah Ball Colonialism is not a new story, it is nothing but new feathers on that same old bird. And the same people are profiting from another genocide of another indigenous population. The more things change, the more they remain the same.

There is no imaginary line that separates the good guys from the bad guys when it comes to profiting from mass-murder by colonialism. Or simply profiting from mass-murder alone. Intellectually stunted, morally compromised, and empathically challenged people exist in both the Jewish and Gentile camps, and they have both been guilty of the deaths of millions and millions of people down through the disastrous history of colonialism. The people who own the machinery of colonial genocide, also own and operate the television news outlets, radio stations and newspapers that manufacture consent for the continued ethnic-cleansing of Palestine. Zionists can concoct all of the religious or culturally based mythologies they want to cover for their crimes, that trick is as old as colonialism itself. Jews are Europeans, and the lies that create and sustain their mythnicity, which they use to justify Palestinian genocide, are no different in nature and intent than the lies they told when they helped murder the natives of North and South America, and kidnapped millions of Africans to be worked to death in the cotton and sugar cane killing fields. A number of Gazans have joined Khader Adnan's hunger strike to protest the inhumane conditions that Palestinian political prisoners face in Israeli jails. Israel often holds Palestinians in administrative detention without charges, depriving detainees of their right to due process.

Adnan has been on hunger strike for 55 days and is currently hospitalized in Israel. While Adnan and his lawyers is contesting his administrative detention, the Israeli judge who heard the case yesterday declined to issue an immediate decision. Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association said that the delay "may prove fatal."

Western media has been running repeated footage of claiming to show Syria engaging in a brutal crackdown on innocent civilian protestors? These photos, videos and international observers tell a different story. You decide.

Before your view the photos below, go ahead and turn on CNN. Wait until the segment on the crisis in Syria comes on… they have been playing it repeatedly ever 15 minutes or so for last few days.

Wait until your heart starts bleeding as the anchor describes how the brutal Syrian regime is indiscriminately raining mortar and rocket fire down on the besieged City of Homs, indiscriminately killing innocent civilian protestors including woman and children.

Note how the anchor says the video is from “activists” trapped inside the city and CNN cannot confirm the authenticity of the videos because foreign media has been forbidden from entering Syria.

The new clip then turns to their “activist” of the day, referring to him only by a convenient common American name that U.S. citizens can identify with. The activist goes on to talk about how he will fears he will be killed by tomorrow unless the International community intervenes with military actions to overthrow the brutal Assad regime. The anchor then proceeds to describe how people are bleeding to death in street and people can’t even safely bury their dead, as the day’s civilian death toll climbs to over 100 people.

Now that your heart is bleeding, a doctor comes on the air to give the story further credibility and get your blood boiling.

You think to yourself in anger and shock,

“What the fuck!! Those poor people. Why the hell don’t we sound our marines in and take that motherfucker out”.

As you do, the anchor asks you the critical question as if he is reading your mind.

“Do you think there should be military action in Syria? If so, do you think the U.S. should be involved?”

The anchor then gives you a link to where you can go online and voice your opinion.

As you go there and answer, a full team of DHS goons will be monitoring your comments in real timeand letting the President and the Pentagon know if there is enough popular support to invade Syria.

Now join me back in reality and take a look at the photos of these so called peaceful activists.

After you check out these photos, if you are brave enough to take the blue pill and go down the rabbit hole even further, check out the videos on the bottom of this article and (even more on this page) showing these activists shooting guns, rockets at the police and security forces. Hell there is even a video of them running through the city with a tank and firing at Syrian army.

However, the TV satellites of lies and fabrications did not highlight the fact that had the killed been hit by mortars, as they claim, their bodies would have been turned into tiny pieces.

SYRIA ~ ABC NEWS (AU) EXPOSE THE LIES OF REUTERS, ABC AND OTHER MEDIAS

COMPARING CNN COVERAGE OF SYRIA TO THE ARAB LEAGUE OF NATIONS REPORT

The league is working on a proposal for al-Assad to transfer power to his vice president following the formation of a national unity government.

The group’s plan calls for the government to start talks with the opposition within two weeks and for the formation of a new government within two months. A new constitutional council would follow, as would a plan for parliamentary and presidential elections.

The proposal is the clearest indication to date from the Arab League on what its member states would like to see happen in Syria. The league plans to take the idea to the United Nations in a bid to build international support.

El-Araby and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Jasem Al Hamad sent a letter to the United Nations Tuesday requesting a meeting with Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the league’s proposed national unity government for Syria, according to an Arab League official. The official asked not to be named because he is not authorized to speak with the media.

The ALoN report directly contradicts the comments made by Susan Rick, the U.S. ambassador to the UN, who accused Assad of failing to meet the Arab Leaque’s demands instead choosing to continue to kill innocent civilians even in the press of the ALoN.

Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said the situation in Syria “continues to deteriorate dramatically” and the Security Council “should fully support the Arab League’s efforts to broker an end to the bloodshed and a peaceful transition to democracy in Syria.”

“Despite the presence of Arab League monitors, the regime is ignoring its commitments to the Arab League plan, including by failing to end all acts of violence and to protect Syrian civilians,” she said. “Scores of civilians are killed every day. Thousands of political detainees remain incarcerated across the country, many at serious risk of torture. As a result of the regime’s failure to fulfill the requirements of the Arab League plan, there are more and more calls from the region for Security Council involvement.”

CNN goes on to quote a Syrian activist complaining army forces still surrounding a residential neighborhood.

“I have a relative who saw missiles coming into the city early morning yesterday, three tanks and one armor were seen near Bab Al Qibly neighborhood, which is still surrounded with army forces until now, bombing is heard continuously since the morning, this neighborhood is being attacked since then because mass demonstrations were held the under the protection of Free Syrian Army.”

The ALoN makes clear that there were infact 4 tanks that Syria could not remove – 3 BECAUSE THEY ARE DISABLED AND 1 UNDER CONTROL OF THE REBEL / FREE SYRIA ARMY.

CNN quotes the UN Resolution, claiming it echoes the Arab League of Nations report.

The Security Council “condemns the continued widespread and gross violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms by the Syrian authorities such as the use of force against civilians, arbitrary executions, killing and persecution of protesters and members of the media, arbitrary detention, enforced disappearances, and interference with access to medical treatment, torture, sexual violence, and ill treatment, including against children,” says the draft, which was written by the French and is one of several in circulation.

In truth, the ALoN report makes it clear that these claims are outright falsehoods and “gross exaggerations” perpetrated by the media.

CNN continues to report that Syria is refusing to allow the International media into Syria and refusing to remove tanks from cities.

The 22-member Arab League has called on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime to stop violence against civilians, to free political detainees, to remove tanks and weapons from cities, and to allow outsiders ~ including the international news media ~ to travel freely in Syria.

The ALoN report makes clear that international media is infact inside of Syria, documenting the pressence of over 100 internations news organizations inside the Syria.

Furthermore, this video shows the Syrian rebels using a tank to launch attacks.

Whenever you read Alan Hart, remember, that Alan is a "Shalom" Activist, in other words, peace and security for Israel without Justice for Palestine in general and in particular the exiled Palestinians.

According to Gilad Atzmon Shalom mean peace and security for Israel.

I am not surprised with Alan, the Perez linkman with Arafat, criticizing the timing of the naive statement of William Hague,

"In the House of Commons he (Hague) pronounced Bashar al-Assad’s regime to be “doomed” because there is “no way it can recover its credibility.” That may very well be the case in the long term, but in my view that Hague statement was somewhat naive at the time he made it."

For Alan, the Syrian "regime" is doomed since he started his little "peace conspiracy" with Perez and Arafat in late 1970's. Hafez Assad died, but still living in Bashar.

Alan should have realised that Kesinger was right when he said there is no peace without Syria. Fourty years passed, all attempts to change Syria failed. I wonder if Alan would live to wittness the fall of the last Arabs resistance fort.

Btw, Sources close to Assad claimed that the first «double veto» was not co-ordinated with Damascus, and was a surprise, the Syrian leadership recived with great pleasure.

Moreover sources close to Al-Manar channel site claimed that Russians has always been in favour of military solution with the gunmen.

Arising out the will of Alfred Nobel, the Swedish chemist who invented dynamite, the Nobel Prize is universally recognized as the most prestigious award in the fields of peace-making, economics, chemistry, physics, medicine and literature. How about an international award – without the gold medal, the diploma and the money – for hypocrisy?

Such an award could be called the Lebon Prize (reversing Nobel).

If there was such an award, the statements of European and American leaders in the immediate aftermath of Russia and China’s veto of the Security Council resolution to end the killing in Syria suggest two most obvious nominees for it.

But the particular Hague statement that prompts my suggestion that he be nominated for a Lebon Prize for hypocrisy was this one. By exercising their veto

Russia and China have placed themselves on the wrong side of Arab and international opinion.”

The obvious implication is that it’s not good politics and policy to be on the wrong side of that opinion. Really? Then how do we explain the fact that all the governments of the Western world, led by America, are on the wrong side of it because of their support for the Zionist state of Israel right or wrong – unending occupation, on-going ethnic cleansing and all? There is a one-word answer. Hypocrisy.

The second most obvious nominee for a Lebon Prize for hypocrisy is Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the UN. In condemning the Russian and Chinese vetoes, she said,

For months this Council has been held hostage by a couple of members.”

Given that for the Security Council has been held hostage for decades by American vetoes to protect Israel from being called to account for its crimes, that Rice statement is – what I can say without resorting to use of the “F” word? – hypocrisy most naked and taken to its highest level
No doubt readers will have other suggestions, probably many, for nominations for a Lebon Prize for hypocrisy.

Hague also condemned China and Russia for “betraying the Syrian people”. It apparently doesn’t matter that the British and all other Western governments have been betraying the Palestinians for decades. There really is no end and no limit to the hypocrisy.

The Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway, while the other prizes are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden. Baruch Aba Shalev, author of a book on the Nobel Prize, has said “the Nobel Prize has come to be regarded as the best-known and most prestigious award available in the fields of literature, medicine, physics, chemistry, peace and economics
