The Syrian army launched severe blows on Monday against the militants sites during the Shield of Capital operation that aims at cleansing Damascus of terrorist gunmen, leaving hundreds of opposition militants in Damascus countryside.
Army units imposed siege against militants in Zamalka and Jobar, targeting their sites and fortifications in Zabadane, Darya, Maadamiya, Duma and Domar.

According to Al-Alam TV, Syrian troops have stationed at new points of Jobar, especially after cutting the militants' supply in Zamalka, Jobar and Arbin, and trapping the rest of the gunmen in the northern axis of Damascus countryside.

Military operations left a number of militants killed in Zamalka of Eastern Ghota while targeting their communities.

In the western axis, national heavy artillery hit the gunmen fortifications in Daraya and Ma'damiya. An Army unit also clashed with armed groups in the north-west axis from the Talvita side of Qalamoon in rural Damascus, killing scores of …

Members of the UN Security Council raise their hands as they vote to approve a resolution, which condemns the use of chemical weapons in Syria and calls for their destruction, on September 27, 2013.
Sun Sep 29, 2013 6:52PM GMT By Finian Cunningham
Notable is the reiterated inclusion of members of the present government. This provision scotches, at least legally speaking, the Western agenda of regime change through covert terrorism. It pours egg on the face of the likes of John Kerry, William Hague and Laurent Fabius who have been harping on about Assad standing down and “having no place on this earth."" Related Interviews: 'Al-Qaeda after isolating others in Syria'‘Rebels’ operations in Syria, war crime’ US President Barack Obama described the latest Security Council resolution on Syrian chemical weapons as “a huge victory for the world”. It certainly was a huge victory for diplomacy over war, to the relief of the world’s people.

But for Obama to seek credit in the passing…

Sudan back on US-Israel radar

The US State Department and Jewish NGOs trained and funded Arab Spring protests have hit Khartoum and Omdurman behind the smokescreen of government’s decision to cut fuel subsidies.
On September 27, Sudanese interior minister Ibrahim Mahmoud speaking at a radio talk show said that police has arrested more than 600 anti-government protestors – and 100 of them are being investigated for burning and looting public and private properties. Khartoum sources have claimed the death of 37 people including a policeman.

Last week, several Jewish groups urged the Hotel Association and its New York members to deny accomodation to Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir during his visit to the attend the UN General Assembly in New York. These Evildoers have been running similar campaign against former Iranian president Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad between 2006-2012.

The US-Israeli problem with Sudan is not just the country’s huge oil reserves, but its strategic location along the …

"Assad would stay & Iran would not be dismantled but emerge strengthened"

FLC
"... After the 2006 Lebanon war, Saudi Arabia took further fright at the mounting popularity of Iran and Hezbollah within its own Sunni streets. Revolutionary Islam seemed to be gaining the upper hand. And – finally, the straw that broke the camel's back for the Gulf states: the outbreak of Arab upheaval of 2011, with its evident disdain for established authority. Gulf states decided to do whatever it takes to halt Iran and the new currents of thinking (such as a rising Muslim Brotherhood). Their very survival, it seemed, hinged on it. Overthrowing President Bashar al-Assad became the explicit cornerstone of this strategy of confronting Iran. But this Gulf containment strategy of igniting a Sunni "intifada" against Shia influence seems to have collapsed, as the Gulf monarchs absorb the significance of Barack Obama'sU-turn on Syria, and the opening to Iran. What made it so traumatic was that not just Obama but the US system itself had buckled (publi…

Suspicions Surround Israel’s Hasty Announcement of Capturing Iranian “Spy”

Image

An Israeli court on Monday remanded in custody an alleged Iranian spy for eight days, a day after the Zionist Premier, outraged by US-Iran “sweet talks”, headed to Washington to meet President Barack Obama.

Agence France Presse reported that the Iranian, Ali Mansouri, has not yet been charged.

Mansouri, 58, was silent and motionless, in his first public appearance, as he sat in handcuffs, wearing a brown prison uniform, AFP cameraman said.
On the other hand, Israeli media considered as suspicious the circumstances surrounding the announcement of Mansouri’s arrest especially that Benjamin Netanyahu headed to the US on Sunday claiming he wants to “tell the truth” to counter Iran’s “charm offensive.”

The enemy’s media said that the Israeli security services don’t usually hurry to announce the arrest of a spy, noting that such move should be for diplomatic or political interest.
"Security services do not hurry to reveal, of their own volition, recent espionage affairs,&qu…

"Russia is now the undisputed master of the UN Security Council "

FLC"... But the key to this disturbing realignment in the global power structure is clearly visible in the draft of the Security Council resolution on Syria, which entirely reflects Russia's interests at the expense of those of the Western powers. America, Britain and France, the three Western members of the five permanent members of the Council, wanted the option to take punitive action against the Assad regime if, as most observers expect, Damascus does not fully comply with the U.N.'s requirements. (Nor has anyone considered how U.N. inspectors can be expected to examine and neutralise stockpiles of chemical weapons in the midst of a civil war.)But Russia is determined to prevent any form of military intervention in Syria, and to that end insisted that the resolution be watered down to the effect that, if Assad fails to comply, then the issue will be referred back to the U.N. where, as we know from history, it will be subsumed by the organisation's bu…

Lavrov: Insurgents Have Chemical Weapons

Image
US Labeling Terrorists by Stephen Lendman
It’s no secret. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed what he said many times before. Russia has clear evidence.

It proves Western-enlisted death squads have CWs. It proves they use them.
On Saturday, Russia’s Channel One interviewed Lavrov. He said Moscow intercepted a phone call between two insurgents. They discussed using chemical weapons.

Russia informed Washington and other anti-Assad governments. It called on them “to make sure that their ‘charges’ kept their hands off any chemical weapons or their components, to say nothing of using them.”

According to Lavrov:
“We are certain that militants have more than once attempted such provocations.”

“Therefore, the direct sponsors of opposition forces who offer them support must also see to it that they give up on further provocations.”

Syria must play the lead role in its own security.

“The main idea is to let OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) experts play the f…

ADL: ‘Thou shalt not blame Israel for Syrian mess’

Posted onSeptember 27, 2013|
Abraham Foxman, head of the Anti-Dafamation League (ADL), one of America’s top Israel lobby groups, issued a statement on September 18, 2013, claiming that people who blame Israel or Jews for the bloodshed in Syria or America’s military threats against Syria – are conspiracy theorists and Jew-haters, and therefore, antisemites.

There is a disturbing cottage industry of antisemitic conspiracy theories surrounding Syria, and unfortunately, Jews and Israel are in the crossfire. Those promoting these conspiracy theories range from traditional antisemites and Holocaust deniers, to Israel bashers, and even the official Iranian news media,” said Abbe Foxman.

While Foxman forgot to blame Hizbullah Al-Manar TV and Syrian news media – he did name columnist J. Bruce Campbell (Veterans Today), blogger John Friend, Dr. Michael Hoffman, Minister Farrakhan, leader of Nation of Islam (watch video below) and Dr. Kevin MacDonald, an Islamophobe, as Jew-haters and Israel ba…

Avigdor Lieberman: Israel Should Attack Iran Alone

Image
Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 8:26AM Gilad Atzmon

In a post on his Facebook page, Avigdor Lieberman, the former Israeli foreign minister projects his deceitful symptoms upon the Iranian president: "Now, when the world's attention is focused on the new Iranian president's attempts to appear moderate and conciliatory, it is worth noting that the Iranians have long employed a pattern of deceit: various promise tactics, stalling and feeding the international community with false information time and time again, all the while pursuing their goal of obtaining a nuclear weapon, meant to threaten world peace."

Addressing Israel's attack on Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor in 1981, he said: "We should also bear in mind that in the case of the Iraqi reactor, Israel was the only one who made a warning and in retrospect we were right, as in other cases."

Israel is in a state of panic over the growing popularity of Iran at the UN. But it seems as if Israel is n…

Syria – Jobar: A Cauldron full of Jihadists

Iran shows truth is winning out

Image
By Finian Cunningham Fri Sep 27, 2013 5:36PM GMT The saying goes that a week is a long time in politics - meaning that big changes can surprisingly occur in a short period.

This week, at the 68th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations was one such watershed event.

The engine for this dramatic change was Iran’s diplomatic thrust. Iranian President Dr. Hassan Rouhani delivered a speech to the assembly that enthralled those willing to listen while leaving detractors reeling from their own inadequacy.

Rouhani’s address was a paragon of rational argument that reinforced humane values of respect and equality.

Yet he laid blame firmly on the causes and protagonists of conflict, whether in Palestine, Iraq or Syria. In sum, the Iranian president rejected militarism and warmongering as an archaic blunt and immoral instrument, and he offered a hopeful way forward from conflict based unequivocally on equality and respect.

“Militarism and the recourse to violent and military means…
