How Israel Offered to Sell South Africa Nuclear Weapons

How Israel Offered to Sell South Africa Nuclear Weapons Chris Mcgreal | The Guardian
May 24, 2010 Secret apartheid-era papers give first official evidence of Israeli nuclear weapons The secret military agreement signed by Shimon Peres, now president of Israel, and P. W. Botha of South Africa. Photograph: Guardian Secret South African documents reveal that Israel offered to sell nuclear warheads to the apartheid regime, providing the first official documentary evidence of the state's possession of nuclear weapons. The "top secret" minutes of meetings between senior officials from the two countries in 1975 show that South Africa's defence minister, PW Botha, asked for the warheads and Shimon Peres, then Israel's defence minister and now its president, responded by offering them "in three sizes". The two men also signed a broad-ranging agreement governing military ties between the two countries that included a clause declaring that "the very existence of t…

South Lebanon: Israel Admits to Stealing Land in Adaisseh

Image

(Photo: Hassan Bahsoun) By: Amal Khalil Published Wednesday, January 30, 2013 A week ago, Israeli newspaper Maariv published an article titled "Kibbutz Lands Over Lebanese Border." The story indicated that the management of the Misgav-Am kibbutz, a settlement located across from the Lebanese town of Adaisseh, "was informed by the Israeli interior ministry that a part of [the colony] falls on sovereign Lebanese territory."

The ministry's statement came in response to the kibbutz’s request to re-zone certain plots of land from agricultural to residential. The ministry said that the request would be considered following "the withdrawal towards Israeli borders and amending the Blue Line."

It seems the enemy admitted that Adaisseh was confiscated by the occupation – with the collusion of the UN – when the Blue Line was demarcated following the liberation of South Lebanon in 2000.

Sunni Shia Conflict & the ‘Continuum’ of an Ideology

Sectarian conflict is not only tearing Muslim countries apart like Iraq and Pakistan but also brewing under the surface in London and European cities.
Sunni and Shia groups view each other suspiciously across a widening gap of misunderstanding propagated by Saudi financed British Sunni Mosques and madras’s attempt to label Shias as kafirs or heretics. On the surface there is a form of coexistence, but when the owner of a media group with the ability to influence thousands states “the biggest threat to world peace is Iran and Shias” it becomes a worrying fact.
It’s even more worrying when many Muslims suffering discrimination and treated as the enemy within cannot comprehend that Shia Sunni bloodshed is one of the many aims of the un- ending war on terror unleashed against Islam and Muslims after 9/11.
The west has reduced occupation forces in places like Iraq and Afghanistan, as they watch the rise of sectarian bloodshed which i…

Between Laurent Fabius and Haytham Manna..

Image
Nidal Hmedeh / Geneva

French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius's strenuous efforts to abort the Syrian Opposition Coordinating Body Conference didn't contrast with the French policy. France supports those calling for foreign military intervention in Syria, and those seeking destruction inside the Arab country by arming and funding the extremist militants in their destructive war against Syria, the symbol of civilization, nation and people.

Laurent Fabius rejects, boycotts and fights Haytham Manna through the Foreign Ministry, and the French Ambassador to Damascus who stays in Doha more than in Paris, and represents the French guardian on the Syrian Opposition Body ever since establishing the National Council and designating Burhan Ghalioun as its president; not to mention the coalition based on the National Council's remnants, which depleted its missions without being able to implement the colonial Gulf tribal project in Syria.

Unexpectedly, Laurent Fabius held a…

Is the IAEA Undermining Nuclear Talks with Iran?

Image
Source

It has become a social fact in the West that Iran must have something to hide about its nuclear program because it is “refusing to cooperate” with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) by barring Agency inspectors from visiting the military production complex at Parchin.  More specifically, as part of the IAEA’s efforts to explore what its current director general, Yukiya Amano, calls “possible military dimensions” of the program, the IAEA wants access to a particular part of Parchin.  The Agency says it wants such access to investigate claims that the Iranians carried out high-explosives testing there, supposedly related to the development of nuclear weapons.

A number of recent pieces—including by Yousaf Butt, a nuclear physicist who is professor and scientist-in-residence at the Monterey Institute of International Studies’ James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, and Robert Kelley, an American nuclear engineer who worked for 30 years in the University of Calif…

Syrian Authorities Say over 80 Executed People Found in River

Local Editor

Syrian security forces in the northern city of Aleppo have discovered more than 80 bodies of young men and boys thrown in the Quweiq River after being killed execution style.

The area around the river, which separates Bustan al-Qasr district from Ansari, is under the control of the foreign-backed militants who are seeking to overthrow the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Some of the bodies had their hands tied behind them and the others appear to had been shot in the head or tortured.

A senior security source said many of the victims had previously been reported kidnapped. He blamed the terrorists of carrying out the executions.

Mali “Resource War” Extends into Niger: France sends Troops to Secure Niger Uranium Mines

Barely two weeks after invading Mali with over 2,000 troops of the Foreign Legion, France has dispatched special forces troops to neighboring Niger to secure uranium mines run by the French state-owned nuclear power company Areva.

The new French military intervention in northwest Africa was first reported by the weekly magazine Le Point and confirmed by military sources contacted by other sections of the French media. Le Point reported that French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian had quickly agreed earlier this week to a “major innovation” in ordering the Special Forces Command to send troops to protect the Areva uranium production sites in Imouraren, and 80 kilometers away in Arlit. The magazine noted that this is the first ever use of the French commandos to directly defend the assets of a corporation.

The magazine reported that French government officials had taken the decision…

IS UK DEFENSE CONTRACTOR PLANNING SYRIAN CHEMICAL WEAPONS FALSE FLAG?

Unconfirmed “leaked” documents indicate Washington-approved, Qatari-funded false flag attack using Libyan chemical weapons in Homs, Syria.
Documents allegedly “hacked” belonging to UK-based defense contractor Britam (official website here) appear to show the company considering an offer from Qatar to use Libyan chemical weapons in Homs, Syria in order to frame both the Syrian and Russian governments. The plan involves using Britam’s Ukrainian mercenaries and Soviet-era chemical weapon shells brought in from Libya’s large, Al Qaeda-linked, Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) controlled arsenals.| The e-mail reads:
Phil We’ve got a new offer. It’s about Syria again. Qataris propose an attractive deal and swear that the idea is approved by Washington. We’ll have to deliver a CW to Homs, a Soviet origin g-shell from Libya similar to those that Assad should have. They want us to deploy our Ukrainian personnel th…
